The 5 top selling songs of the year in 2013 never got the same radio support Roar received, even though several of them were #1 on several large radio formats. Blurred Lines didn't make it to the AI that Roar had, and it was #1 on iTunes for weeks and weeks and was #1 on several formats. Katy has a lot of big singles that outsell Rihanna's biggest. Rihanna has more than one song like Where Have You Been, where the airplay was way of of portion to sales. Katy tends to go #1 on sales before she does on airplay. Roar may have peaked high, but a lot of other big hits remained at that level longer. If you want to focus on Roar's air[play peak remember it had the highest weak of sales too. When you think how much airplay Dark Horse deserves vs a Pitbull song, you should factor in somehow that Katy sold over 1 million albums already and Pitball almost nothing. Dark Horse is already done in Australia/NZ, Roar is still doing okay but won't last too long. Unless her fourth (third ) single is released early in Australia/NZ the era will lose momentum.. because 3 months without a single. The album is still #2, but there are no Katy songs in the Top 15 anymore. She can't stay Top 15 with her album when she has no songs in the Top 50 a little bit later, right?
