I know he's supposedly evolved now I just see him as extremely phony and fake Thats so mean of him, Fran deserves the world

JustAnotherGayASMR 410
I always wondered why Gaga gave him as much time & stellar performances as she did. He came across like a terrible person but I never knew if it was just a way to grab headlines & make people listen or wether he is actually a d*ck. After all it's just another gay x https://www.youtube.com/@JustAnotherGayASMR
Ziggy 13,876
I think he’s been one of the few people of his era to change and grow with the times while retaining their authenticity so I think he’s great even if he hasn’t always been

StrawberryBlond 15,487
Admittedly, he's gotten so much better in recent years. Age has mellowed him and he's like a completely different host now. Gone are the days of interviewing p**n stars, getting female guests to pull up their tops, crazily dissing people and buttaface contests. Occasionally, he would call out someone who really needed to be (he called out Sylvia Browne's charlatan tomfoolery years ago). He was very two-faced though and he went from laughing at Gaga's MSG special to loving her talent just a year later. I could argue he just didn't know what she was all about at the time and needed to warm up to her, like many people did. But when he was at his worst, holy s**t, you could only get away with this stuff in the 90's and 00's. The way women were mistreated in those decades is perfectly encapsulated in compendiums of his old shows. Perving on women was the least of the stuff he was doing. Here's some videos from Sloan detailing his worst moments. They're all quite long but I promise, they're engaging. Your jaw will drop. I remember this whenever I want to give him a second chance today. He's so self-deprecating now, interviews people properly, doesn't perv over women, his co-hosts also behave themselves. I appreciate that he's clearly changed as most men of his age would just get worse with time and double down but he shouldn't be given a medal for it. I think it's important to never forget who someone was if what they did was well-documented and very extensive.

Thing is he was a grown man in his 30s by the time his career got going. Not like a young kid.
