Can't wait! Plot: "A former government analyst is forced back into a secret program when leaked evidence reveals humanity has known about non-human intelligence for decades. As global panic builds, officials prepare a controlled first contact, while the real conflict becomes whether the truth will be shared or buried one last time." This movie just looks... bad. Tired tropes/tardy to the party vibe, more unpleasant Janusz Kaminski cinematography & a deeply uninteresting cast. It'll make a ****ton of money though 🍿 & I'm biased. The casting is...interesting, to say the least, but I'm happy that they're making some inspired choices with the actors. It definitely feels like these disparate storylines will eventually converge thematically at some point. I think I'm mostly excited because it feels like a sister film to Close Encounters, and I love when directors/artists revisit their earlier work with a modern lens (looking at you, Mayhem!).
