Ladle Ghoulash 49,041 Posted yesterday at 02:44 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:44 AM (edited) Gotta give it to the studio version because it’s the blueprint, but what an embarrassment of riches tbh. Both the Grammy version and the REQUIEM version are excellent for different reasons. REQUIEM’s version is near perfect: the medieval twinged acoustic intro, the explosion into a deconstructed techno version of the full track…my only beef with it is I don’t really love the way she performs the bridge, but I think it ultimately works. Grammy’s on the other hand…the combination of those funky new wave guitars, the detuned gothic post punk guitars, the choral synths, the vocals, the attitude, the dissonant electro metal breakdown on the bridge and the operatic vocals? Genuinely masterful. Edited yesterday at 10:23 AM by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS 4 1

Nagini 4,005 Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM I need the Grammys version with better sound mixing. I need to hear more of the instruments, guitars, etc. and she needs a backing chorus and NO live vocal for the post-chorus (please respect the electronic distortion, it sounds so good). But until that happens........... studio official for sure with spatial audio enabled for Apple Airpod users. Thank me later!
TheFrenchGuy 5,152 Posted yesterday at 03:12 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:12 AM (edited) Every version is awesome but lately I've been listening to the Requiem version a lot. It sounds so theatrical, like a cyberpunk bene gesserit nun from space doing a techno ritual to grieve her past life Edited yesterday at 03:14 AM by TheFrenchGuy
