That's the cheap part of the variants. It's one thing to do a regular + deluxe version + different variants (make it vinyls colors or cover pictures) where you can just choose one (or multiples, idc what people spend their money on). And to add to that you can also see how even if those regulars she's smart enough to do it so you have to buy multiple copies to complete something (1989 TV having each version a number on the back so you could form 1989) or Midnights having 1/4 of a clock in each version, so you had to purchase all four to complete the clock 'cause as a fan, of course you don't want to miss that. This just goes back to what I was saying about coming up with excuses. "Well it's different under these super specific conditions" and then eventually Gaga or someone you look up to ends up doing the thing you criticized others for and the bar for what's acceptable shifts. A deluxe, or live version, or remix with a featured artist has been a thing for decades and is constantly done, and it is giving u something a little different at least. Releasing 20 versions of something with virtually no change tho is very much a Taylor specific thing Lets be honest for a sec. Most of us did not criticize Taylor when she released the first variant so were not hypocrites.
