I highly doubt that when she has shark water props in the biggest cities of the world blasting her songs 

Also, that's not how budgeting works  It's not like they're giving her/her team the money 1 day before a certain instance of promo, this stuff gets budgeted and paid and all that well in advance.

Since Gaga's first two years, she's gone on to win an Oscar, several Shammys and most likely will earn several major nominations next year. Gaga's still at the forefront of pop culture. Those girls I mentioned are or will be completely irrelevant in the near future. Gaga's name shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as those girls.

Kesha has had a career for getting close to  20 years? And let's not act like her path has been a natural one.

Less success in USA = flop everywhere

Many artists thrive within certain markets - look at UK bands such as little mix, take that, etc, they all have MASSIVE UK chart success (take that have 12 UK number ones, but didn't crack the states), in no way are they flops at all.

Same with the likes of kylie minogue dominating UK, australian and european markets, same as dua.

Happens in the rap genre too. Iggy had her moment and now everyone's like "Meh".

 

All those ladies were topping charts, on the covers of top magazines, nominated for top awards and on the GPs lips during their debut and perhaps sophomore album then, poof, no one really cares anymore.

 

And by "no one" I mean that outside of their tiny stanbase, no one else really gives a **** anymore. Kesha is there, Camilla is clearly on her way there, Dua will be next, then Sabrina. Cute for a moment, but have no substance for staying power.

 

Might be a tough pill to swallow but I don't make the rules. Don't kill the messenger.

Illusion is sooooooooo good. Excited for the album - Dua makes great, fun pop music.

I really like the album upon first listen. Current highlights are End of an Era, These Walls, Anything For Love (love how it changes up!). Whatcha Doing is also funky. 
 

I also watched her Apple Music interview and loved her calm energy, she’s well spoken.

labels don't cut budgets for promotion in the midst of promoting a record out of the blue. if the roi is that bad, they just reduce the budget for the next era. stans need to get jobs and then they'd learn how things work in the real world.
