Canada > this mess of a country You know, they say Canada is so expensive but tbh America rent is getting out of control and at least Canadians have a higher quality of life and free healthcare... Jenina 15,339
All this during a mass disabling event. If you weren't aware disabled people are not allowed to move to many countries unless they can prove they can make more income than they "cost". So many newly disabled people who still think that option is available but nope they are now trapped in this nightmare. The options for people here are running out fast cool cool

Good point. I'm looking into seeing how the job visa qualifications work seeing as the profession that'll get me in is not one I want to stay in, while the one I actually want to get back into is definitely not something they care about 🙃 This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. KORG 4,756
Keep them poor. Keep them uneducated. Hold them down. Keep them unmedicated. Pledging their allegiance to the flag. Tell them enemies don't want them to be free Forcing birth on every woman that you see. That's the recipe for a big army. That's ingredients for war. Shouting that they'll fight for us to be free, when the real enemy's at home indoors. Tragic.

I still think it's preferable to the US It's either Canada or a deep blue state for me tbh. 3 hours ago, gumzy3000 said: Canada isn't all its made out to be, trust me! Its very cold in the Winter, and speaking of Winter, it lasts for 4 to 5 months in most places. If you don't think this is a big deal, you have probably never lived in a place with such a climate (minus 15 to 20 degrees is normal and there can be a lot of snow). It is severely depressing, not to mention the terrible/dangerous roads and the endless shoveling of snow. Its also very unhealthy. Staying indoors with no sense of going out for fresh air, sunlight or exercise for months is not good. Housing is incredibly expensive due to laws from government that have allowed foreign investors to buy properties. Also, gasoline, car insurance, phone plans, cable, and generally everything is more expensive than it is in the USA due to lack of competition and smaller population. We also lack the connectivity and integration the US has with its various states and cities. We have a small population spread out in a huge landmass. The US coasts, Midwest, and South are incredibly dense and have a lot of cities and places one can move to for better opportunities. In Canada, we only have Southern Ontario, Vancouver (in the West coast), some cities in the middle (very cold btw and lack of fun/job opportunities), and if you can speak French, you can move to Montreal. Other than that, we lack the variety of lifestyles and places the US has. We do have free healthcare but you still have to pay for prescriptions, dental work, and eye care. Even ambulances have to be paid for. Oh, and wait times for non emergencies can be horrendous. So if your in pain, but its not an emergency, good luck. While I have never lived in the US, I have visited quite a bit and I have a lot of family there. I envy the low taxes, the low prices, the integration and variety of lifestyles/cities, and the strong sense of culture and national identity you have. There's worse things than cold and now in a Country where heating is comfortably affordable on top of that When I was in Portugal and it rained every single f*cking day from Late October to April non stop, and even when it stopped raining it was still gloomy and damp and miserable and half the homes didn't have proper heating so it was a dampy humid 8C to 10C in the house. You sheets felt wet when you went to bed and ur body was crushed with heavy blankets cuz u needed so many layers Yeah it's a pain to shuvle and have to put on thick coats outside. But at least we also get sun and a warm house where most Canadians walk around in a t-shirt and shorts in the house I'll take a Canadian Winter over a Portuguese one any day
