Instead of making new music.

Well, living from her old glories it's all left for her.

This comment is absurd lmao :laughga:

A total stranger took ownership of songs, full of personal stories/memories, from her. This is a way of not only taking back ownership of those songs, but burying the opportunity for that stranger to further exploit her and her art.

I like the new Girl at Home production actually it just has me worried she’s gonna change up more songs.

im worried for better than revenge the most, I just hope she leaves them as they are

State of Grace and Holy Ground are my favorite Taylor Swift songs and now they sound even better.

I really hope she makes a whole album with songs like that.

It’s because Max Martin, who co produced these songs, isn’t on it. Sounds cheap and dated.

i hope he’ll be on board in the 1989 one because if not, it will be a disaster  Taylor Swift Fingers Crossed GIF

He isn't listed in the production credits for Wildest Dreams (TV), and it sounds absolutely incredible. I don't know if it's because I've listened to the new version a lot within the past month, but now the OG sounds off to me (almost flat).

Folklore was being selling for about 13 dollars or... less, compare it to Chromatica and its 15 dollars worth, don't say a cheap album is a best selling.

Her goal is simply to own all her music. The order she's releasing doesn't seem to have much influence over what songs are the most popular, etc. She was never given the chance, and was denied the opportunity to buy her songs back. She already owns the writing credits to the songs that were recorded while she was under Big Machine, so she's able to stop them from being used in promotion material. To use it in advertising, etc., you'd need the writer's permission as well as the the master recording permission, which falls under the label for most songs by most artists prior to this. That's the only reason she's re-recording these albums.

I already knew all of that, except that I assumed there were more goals here with the re-releases. I guess I'm just rooting for her and I don't really want her old recordings to "win" over these because that would bother me if I were her.

You're talking about the same woman who released two albums of 17 tracks each in the course of a single year.

Nah uh, I think the public opinion worth better than a bunch of critics saying is it fine or is it wrong.

And I won't keep on this thread cause if I do so they will acuse me of trolling, so I better leave it.

you got scalped and educated :lana: you should have just said you don't like her and her music because that will be your own precious, personal opinion and people will respect that.

Its a shame for you that the public views all of her latest projects in acclaim, then. :bradley:
