What phase of your life were you living when this masterpiece was released?

I had a completely different life I reckon. I remember being awkward the first time I listened, as the sound of the album was so strange to me! Then it was on repeat every day ofc. I was living with my ex and remember eating dinner with him listening to the album, and how he was in awe with the opera gimmicks of Government Hooker.

I was in 8th grade and in denial over my sexuality. I can pinpoint the moment when my perspective totally flipped because of this album and I came to accept myself. It literally changed my life

yeah some songs were so strange to me, like they were made for kids and belonged to a side-b unknown album from the 80s, but they all grew on me

I was in high school, and I vividly remember opening the CD, seeing "This Album is for Ü" and nearly crying. Then I realized it was actually about Lüc and not about us  But the intention was there I guess! Bloody Mary was my absolute favourite, so glad it's getting a second life on TikTok. In general, I was in awe at how varied and multi-sonic the whole thing was.

I was 14 or 15 and skipped school to listen to the album. Took a hot bath while listening to the album and the water was so hot that I started to feel like I was gonna faint

I had just finished my freshman year of college and was back living with my parents for the summer. I was a bit of "Bad Kid" that summer after having lived on my own for this first time, so this album was the anthem of the time for me.
