I’ve already done this with others who are vaccinated. We hang out without masks unless obviously going to a public place.

I think the point is that if all parties have been vaccinated, there's little need to worry. Vaccinated people can still transmit the virus to non-vaccinated people, hence the need for masks and social distancing in public where not everyone has been vaccinated. But among those who've been vaccinated, even if you catch the virus, the odds of having a serious reaction are slim, and according to the vaccine trials, there have been no hospitalizations or deaths from covid among those vaccinated.

This. And idk who needs to hear this but: This virus is NEVER going away. It will be endemic to humanity for a long time. 

Once most of us get a vaccine, we can all get back to normal sooner rather than later.

There was also science showing mass spread on surfaces, a necessary 14 day quarantine period, and insane asymptomatic spread (there’s still some but not nearly as much as what was originally thought last year and caused so much panic). 

Like someone else said, this virus is likely gonna be around forever like the flu, and we can thank the gross, wildly unsanitary, and irresponsible meat markets in China for that 🤢 If you want to keep wearing masks till the day you die there’s truly nothing stopping ya
