Well, now she can do wheatever she wants... I love Chomatica but since we don’t get any promotion I lost the hype... In addition, the pandemic has spoiled the proposal of the album “this is my dance floor”! There’s no dance floor opened. The clubs are closed and all “freedom” that the album purpose got lost in the “trap” of the pandemic! Well, I completely understand Gaga. :(

just gonna leave this here. Flamebait is that Gaga is lazy. With the heart in the end. Just because one person decided they didn't like the reply. Posted a topic about this to support, never got any answer.

I believe there's a market study to test if the budget to produce a performance has a profitable media value.

An artist's performance isn't always funded by the award shows and sometimes split between the promotional budgets/award show budget. Up and coming artists (like Dua) needs to validate her stage tactics and presence, making her appearances significant to her album.

Music videos are expensive to make, and often require sponsorship (Apple for SL, LG for 911) to fund the video + Ad campaigns to raise the media value and Chromatica's exposure.

As for other brand partnerships (Oreos, Valentino) they're mostly used to fund Chromatica's cycle, Specially Tours, that are expensive to produce, and the revenues take a long time to "check". Same story applies to Merch, that help album sales and are the most profitable source of income (low cost, high selling prices).

As for media, Gaga is still managing to get the right amount of press exposure, even when only nominated. She's still a click bate for most entertainment websites.

With Chromatica getting the essential recognition and numbers, and the hype is gone; it makes more sense to pause it till the tour happens (Any tour will do wonders post covid!)

Meanwhile, Gaga, a method actor, is obviously using this time to prepare for her next lead and highly anticipated role, and a pressure to top her Star Is Born performance. This "Could" be directly followed by Tour rehearsals if 2021's second quarter is safe for concerts. Meanwhile, her account managers are recycling older shot content + A Haus Lab push every once in a while.

I also assume that just like all major artists, there is a camera that was there in the making of chromatica, even right now, to create a follow up documentary following Five Foot Two. With iPhone sponsoring SL, I believe it might be a start with Apple, so maybe Apple + documentary? Netflix and Disney are currently overcrowded with Bey, Taylor, Ariana, etc.

Thoughts?

Some of y'all pointed out (and I really do believe this too) that Gaga might be in a "new" depression ever since she released the album. She doesnt seem as enthusiastic about it anymore, she doesnt promote it a lot

I find it really disappointing & very immature of this fan base to assume she’s in some sort of depression since Chromatica’s release due to not promoting the album. This fan base needs to accept that they are owed nothing, & that her life & whatever she may be feeling personally really isn’t their business. She’s a person, not a robot.

:classy:
