The big story not so long ago was that Bloomberg put in 100 million of his own money into the state to help Joe. They’ve got a large umber of volunteers on the ground as well. You’re clearly someone who hasn’t been following the election because there’s been plenty of conversation regarding Florida’s perception of the Democrats becoming “socialists” because of the popularity Sanders and Warren saw. Trump has also been doubling down on calling Joe and Kamala socialists. This type of fear mongering in Florida works because there are millions of people who have fled or know someone who has fled a country that calls itself socialist. I've been following it very closely actually. I'm well aware of everything you just mentioned. That doesn't make those narratives the Republicans are spewing true though. All it means that the Republicans are much better at messaging and setting a narrative than the Democrats are. We've seen this over and over again throughout recent history. The fact that they're allowing Republicans to paint centrists such as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as "socialists" is a real problem. They need to figure out a better strategy to counter that. And if they can't, to me that makes them incompetent as I originally said.

And if they can't, to me that makes them incompetent as I originally said. Democrats have been making plenty of strategic moves to try to win Florida. One of the major reasons they chose Harris as a VP over Bass (a much less polarizing and like-able woc) was because they didn’t want to risk her past work in Cuba completely wrecking the campaign in that state. But it doesn’t all come down to strategy. The narrative that Democrats are becoming socialists has already been circulating for years and has been legitimized in the eyes of many Floridians because of politicians like Bernie, AOC, etc, gaining popularity. There’s not much they can do about that. Damning the Democrats for losing Florida this time because of poor strategy is just incorrect. There’s not much they can do to change public perception without potentially harming there chances in other states. What would you have them do? Blast the politicians they’re working with just to maybe win Florida but also maybe lose Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nevada, etc.? Yes, you’re frustrated but saying they need to figure out a strategy to counter public perception is a lot more easier said than done. If it’s even possible.
