You guys might be disappointed... For all we know, those are acoustic demos with just Gaga and a guitar that RedOne probably never finalized.

I'm completely agreeing with this. But when you guys state stuff like "the original LG5", it comes across like you mean she had a RedOne album fully realized and ready to go that she scrapped, which was most definitely never the case. That's just a precision.

Also, to be pretty honest... seeing pictures of RedOne with his guitar in the studio, and hearing the Angel Down work tape, it does feel like their session was heavily acoustic, without any real indication RedOne finalized anything, aka not what fans are fantasizing about.

When Joanne was almost completely made in 2016 (Since Gaga didn’t actually start writing with Mark until they met again in California around March) and RedOne even said in early 2016 that Gaga and him had a lead single chosen that got scrapped I think it’s pretty evident they had at least a collection of demos from 2015 that would’ve made a whole album. There’s a huge difference between Gaga teasing a dark themed album and having a lead single in 2015/2016 and then scrapping most of the project vs. writing some songs with DJWS in 2017 before Chromatica. The ladder is what you’d call an album process and changing directions. What happened with RedOne is basically a whole concept scrapped.

She herself spoke about being inspired by darkness and RedOne himself stated they made tracks similar to her earlier work. Then she herself said she decided to go in a different direction.

It's fairly obvious based on everything we know that the album had a different concept originally, before she decided to change everything to Joanne and went in a different direction.

She described LG5 in 2014 the exact same way she did in 2016 with Joanne. The concept hasn't changed.

Also the whole darkness thing was invented by fans. She was asked if the Countess influenced her music AND if she loved the dark of darkness. She said that she was influenced by the Countess indeed (she would never say “no, the role didn't inspire me”) and at the end she just said “and yes, I love the art of darkness”.

Also, RedOne never described the songs. Elton John did say that one song sounded a bit like Bad Romance, and an other like Yoü And I.

Of course those were early stages, but we can't know for sure RedOne ended up finalizing anything.

RedOne said (at least Frankensteined) was finished and he was just waiting on her to release it.

I more view albums by their concepts. We know she had a different concept, so that is why I myself said the "original LG5". And i'd be curious to know more, based on your guitar picture comment, because we know that she usually starts all of her songs on piano or another instrument. Could have just been during that process.

Yeah, but to be fair, something can't really be "invented" by fans out of thin air when she literally said it herself.

Yes, she does tend to just occasionally "say whatever", but that is where the fans got it from.

This. We know they had a whole concept figured out before Mark started working with Gaga since RedOne said they had a lead chosen too. All the signs point to atleast an album in the making based off the studio pictures from 2015 and the dark themed poems in 2014. What we know is that that whole concept was scrapped with the exception of Angel Down. Because all the other songs on Joanne were created with Mark and in 2016 too.

Guys, this literally happens with each album... she always makes music and teases stuff that never materializes on actual albums because the projects evolve (Future Love during the Fame Ball, or Princess Die at the BTWBall for instance). It's just the natural process of the making of an album. There's no original LG5, or there's an infinity of original LG5s, depending on how you decide to view it I guess. Maybe she had some kind of concept with DJWS back in 2017 that you have no idea about.

Yep. And even then, Angel Down would still fit into a darker based album.

The Intel Twitter commercial said that she wouldn't perform new material, from the first teaser, so...

I'd be curious to know as well if this was her usual process with RedOne, or just something new they tried together in 2015. People have pointed out the Joanne vibes from the picture with RedOne, so for all we know, maybe she had already decided to go in a more acoustic direction, hence the guitar?

I guess what I mean in the end is there's an awful lot we don't know, and there will never be greater songs in our imagination than the ones we've never heard... But if Gaga decided to go with what ended up being Joanne, there must be a reason. Like I pointed out in another post, Gaga has always teased songs from early creative stages that ended up being absent from actual records, it's just a process - it was clearly not your case from your explanation, but I kinda dislike it when fans act like she has a full collection of unreleased finalized albums she's keeping away from us, like... No, there's only one LG5, it's the one she put out, end of story.
