maybe we will see some of that in chromatica I-III?

Perhaps! They could be 1 minute long interludes that will bleed into the other tracks. Something like the orchestra in the Stupid Love music video, or something by Boys Noize, or BloodPop, or maybe even narration by Gaga. Whatever they are, I’m intrigued, however.

Y'all...this topic was made for me. I loathe short tracks. I agree with others - they feel less genuine, designed for radio only, less thought out. And I've noticed it's become more common as albums come out. I love a long album, which is why Lana's music appeals to me so much! All of her albums have such long songs, and they are my favorites.

I'm super excited to be on Chromatica, but I will be al little disappointed if the rumored "48 minutes" (that was posted on the Google store) becomes true. I need a Gaga song that longer than TEOG! (ASIB Ill never love again) excluded.

so the songs are basically all sampled and short and there is three interludes?

Who said that...

Soft, soothing, and succulent

If the album ends up being a bunch of songs that are 2:50ish seconds long... I’m not here for every song literally being a radio edit. Give me some extended, artistic tracks.

Idc because smaller songs are easier to make remixes for, which is the real reason I’m here.

Who even cares about song lengths :rip:

Honestly this, is rather have a shorter great track rather than one that never ends. Nobody’s asking for her bohemian rhapsody after all :coffee:

Those were just examples, I really don’t want every song to have an extended intro, chorus, or outro. I'd just love for Gaga to make at least one no f*cks 8 minutes+ piece, no trimming down involved, bold and compulsive, but still coherent, deeply compelling, with weight. Not just a super glossy, catchy track, or a ballad with yet another simple structure. They’re not bad, I agree, I’d just love something more.

Gaga is a classically trained pianist, I would like to listen to some of her music, and hear that. I find it a bit disappointing that she hasn’t composed anything like that, yet, that’s all.

I’ve said this every era 😂 soooo glad I’m not the only one. I’ll Never Love Again came the closest but not enough

Completely agree. It feels even more cheap given Gaga is so against writing for the charts.

One of things I really love about Doja Cat's latest album is that it really goes all out on the instrumentals -- especially the outros. I never thought I'd see a radio single like Say So end with a 30 second outro with NO lyrics (not the remix).

Is that a bad thing or what ? Lol I don’t understand.

Anyway, Scheiße is 3 minutes long and one of the shortest from Born This Way.

I honestly love her overly long, dramatic, heightened songs. Shame these are likely all going to be so short.

Welp.

3 points in and ready for more

48 minutes is long enough for ANY album
