Red Velvet 10,988 Posted April 12, 2020 Share Posted April 12, 2020 I'd say reputation. For me, the whole album was genius. It used a very rare move called the "take-and-switch" for the album. The first half being a vulnerable side of Swift that is taken by the media was tracked and then it subtly transitioned by the time of Gorgeous, to a very beautiful relationship, that we can say, a great transition for "Lover". Listening to the songs were also a big roller coaster. Who would have thought that the madness of IDSB, RFI? and Don't Blame Me can be drowned by the peace of New Year's Day and CIWYW? reputation also came to a timeline where I felt no one understood who I was.
