I started the film with very very very VERY low expectations and I guess I had to lower them every more lol

wtf was this boring sh-t?

The songs were just an interruption there.

plot was boring..

Like honestly, the movie had to start with the scene when the jury Konvicted him and with the bomb and then he meets LeeGa, she's Paparazzi him and all, and then share the psychosis, murdering people, singing, f-cking, whatever..

What was the point of locking this whole potential for a second movie inside prison and the court?!

Anyway... and poor gaga lol

Sis did all this method acting just to say 10 sentences and play herself as Gaga with clown makeup.. like she's as crazy as she's on stage..so what's the point of this whole method acting nonsense lol

Basically, her acting job was to sing and look crazy, even I can do that please 

ew I have a wasp in the room, help me lol it's hovering here wtf should I do please send help.

Anyway, the movie was dumb, boring and even Gaga couldn't save it.. she's not just been underused, she had absolutely no meaning to the plot, the story could have more forward without her and nothing would have change or feel missing..

 

Also one serious point.. I think it's kind of sad that she's doing almost graphic sex scenes just to prove that she can act and get some points for a chance to get an award.. all her sex scenes were absolutely terrifying (I still have nightmares from Oochi) and useless.

There was so much potential for the musical scenes to be him flickering in and out of psychosis. They could've made the songs match what was going on in the scene, cut in and out of them but kept the music going and matched it up to fight scenes or something, mirrored the things they were doing in the fantasies with the real life and cut them together impressively, had characters from the bright fantasies and grim bleak reality crossing over, so many things. It could've been so good. But instead it was just weird and disjointed and like you said, the musical scenes felt like an interruption. I could just tell that Gaga and Joaquin were disappointed with the final result because you know they both put their whole clownussies into every scene

This is one of the best sex scenes ever made. How do you think the first sexual experience of a socially and psychologically troubled 50+ year-old man who's barely ever had friends, let alone anything close to a romantic relationship, would turn out in real life? If you don't get this, it's not surprising you don't get the whole movie.
