It was not just UMG's decision.

Gaga always brags about how she's the boss and in control of her music.

She is in control about creative/artistic processes about her projects but not when it comes to promo rollout and campaigning and picking dates for certain releases. That is always up to Interscope/UMG.

They should have never announced a date in the first place, but instead gave us three singles... one in February, one in March, and one in April... then when everything had calmed down, released the date of the album and the title of the album, with another promo single in May/June time

what's the problem? it's her album and her way to promote. at the begining of this month the virus looked dangerous but not as pandemic. the thing changed, it's not her fault.

I know it's sad bc it is your bday but she wasn't dropping the album for you, it was dropping for all the fans even her, she want to give us what we always are complaining about her. she wants to give us looks, surprise performances, awards, interviews, mini projects for the era.

let's wait and hope that everything gets better, I know she would make us love this era with her art.

Tell my mama it's bad karma, I just killed a man.

Well I feel so sad right now, the situation in my country is getting worse every single day, I'm in quarantine since friday and I'm already bored and feeling anxiety, I'm affraid to feel depressed again but I can't do nothing.

The only hope that I was for this terrible times was Chromatica, It was the only thing that I was expecting to heal my mind, but now is delayed, obviously I feel worse...

I understand that Gaga's team and laber make decisions to ensure the success and good performance of the album, but we don't know what the situation will be during May/June/July, more likely it will be worse and worse until year's end and maybe the only good time to release the album was actually April 10th...

I only will say that I hope that Gaga feels good mentally right now because I love her and I wish her the best.

I feel you, stay strong, paws up.:heart:

I really can't stand the people who speak from an industry perspective as if they've ever been involved in an album roll out. We get it. Not Gagas fault. Its the labels. Great. Announcing this 17 days before the release is a f*** up of massive promotions. Sorry, just how I feel. There's absolutely no way they didn't know they were delaying weeks ago when the album would've had to be pressed. No way.

This didnt happened only with Gaga. Movie releases, festivals, concerts, film shootings. Everything was being schedule despite the CDC warnings. Again, nobody was able to predicted the proportions this virus is taking. A lot of companies underestimated the whole situation, that's all. And for now, i will not argue about a stupid abum when everybody, including me, is in risk of getting this disease. I need to buy food, stay at home, take care of my mother. I'm still working everyday in my house. There are other priorities in life. Listening to the album on april 10st would be cool? yeah. But life goes on. So get over it.

Great. Go do all of those things and be safe. Don't tell me to get over it. Your disrespect is unnecessary. If there are other priorities in your life then maybe go attend to them.

Fans bashing other fans for being upset, sorry but this is some bulls***

Idk about others, but I'm only frustrated with fans who went far enough to threaten her. I understand that everyone was in her words angry and sad", I am too, but that's not okay.

I just actaully read her post... god those last few sentences I hate it so much. I hate how she’s trying to promise us a great time with this era. She knows how much we wanted this and here she is giving us false hope. She knows this isn’t going to fade out in a month. She knows she won’t be going on tour this summer. She knows she’s upsetting so many people. This era is already tainted for so many of us. I wish I could throw in some emoji but nothing can express this feeling I have. I’m gonna log off and try to find some peace.

I'm more sad than I thought I would be. I think I was holding on to this release more than I realized. :noparty:Sad Cat GIF by memecandy

But I totally understand her reasons and know that better days will come.:vegas:

They knew about the virus 20 days ago when she announced the album coming. Common sense says literally to wait and see how the situation develops. Its not just about me, but many people are sad/angry because they got their hopes up for them to be let down. She told us something was coming and then cancelled.

If she didn't tell us anything, there wouldn't be as many fans that are sad or angry at this, and certainly she wouldn't have had to make that postponement post. Things would have just been normal.

Its not funny having your emotions being played like that, being so full of hype for it to amount to nothing. She wanted to put out an album with the positive and uplifting message to dance through your pain, then pulls the plug when we need that the most

Kinda hypocritical to call out people saying they don't know how the industry works, then acting like you know how the industry works.
