The way these TYT/Bernie fans clutch their pearls and feign outrage about every little thing is actually not helping bernie in the Polls.  At all.   In fact the reason that - even though I think Bernie is amazing, I would never support him.  Why?  YOU PEOPLE.

I mean, I don't like him but this is hardly posing. He was there and took a picture.

That says more about your choices and how you decide to support politicians because of their supporters instead of their policies.

Oops, couldn’t be me!

And the establishment within the Democratic Party are really the ones clutching their pearls and feigning outrage at the fact that Bernie isn’t going away and nothing they throw out there is making him go away.

Been saying it since 16, but they're not too good at listening.

You people who react sad ever time someone opposes you, really need to grow up.  Passive aggressive reactions are the epitome of childish.

It’s not that serious calm down. People react however they feel. Whether it’s appropriate or not, different story. If it bothers you, don’t engage it. That simple. No one has to be best friends around here, respectful for sure. Don’t get upset or bothered because someone reacted with the “Sad” reaction. I’m probably the least liked Bernie supporter around here and see how phased I am by most commentaries. Not one bit. At the end of the day like I said before, I don’t care who supports who. As long as it’s on the merit of their positioning and platform that’s what matters; anything else like, “they’re gay, they’re a woman, they’re black, they’re Hispanic, they’re not Donald Trump,” you know the identity politics, that is where people lose credibility.

As a Jewish person whose great grandparents were killed in the Holocaust (and whose grandparents fled Poland and spent years at a Soviet work camp), this was in extremely poor taste. Yes, random tourists take photos of it all of the time. But Pete Buttigieg is not a random tourist; he is running for the very highest office and should have shown better judgment than this. His husband thinking it was appropriate to post on social media is baffling, as well.

To people like @TMM90 who thinks it's a matter of prioritization... some of us know how to walk and chew gum at the same time. I can state that this is inappropriate, which it was, while also paying attention to other issues. It's actually pretty easy to care about more than one thing at a time.

I’m sorry about your family. I really meant when I said I think taking pictures is so disrespectful at any memorial or grave, especially one dedicated to one of humanity’s worst atrocities.

Politics aside, I don’t condone anyone taking pictures like this. These places aren’t about YOU, it’s about those we have lost due to the worst actions committed by humanity.

You honestly have to be a sociopath to take a smiling selfie, or posing picture at any memorial, tombstone, etc.

Disrespectful, maybe. But Sociopath? C’mon :laughga:

Does that mean people shouldn’t take pictures in front of the pyramids because they’re technically burial tombs?
