LateToCult 41,868
Former first lady Michelle Obama would enter the 2020 Democratic New Hampshire primary race as the frontrunner, a new Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald poll has found — though so far she’s insisted she won’t. The poll, conducted Oct. 9-13, has Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden tied in the lead of the current Democratic field in the Granite State primary, with Bernie Sanders slightly behind. “Today, the Democratic race is a statistical dead heat between Warren (25%), Biden (24%) and Sanders (22%),” pollster R. Kelly Myers wrote in his summary of the poll results. “If Michelle Obama were to enter the race, it would change things dramatically,” Myers wrote. “Twenty-six percent of Democrats would vote for her, making her the new frontrunner. Under this scenario, Obama (26%) would lead Warren (20%), (Biden (20%) and Sanders (15%). She would take away 4 points from Warren, 4 points from Biden and 7 points from Sanders.” Obama has shrugged off the notion of running so far. (Full story in link below) http://www.mercurynews.com/fpu-herald-poll-michelle-obama-would-enter-nh-democratic-primary-race-as-frontrunner Don’t listen to them Michelle! You keep doing you, sis! I strongly believe she would win against Trump but I just don’t want her to run. Oh jeez, the more I think about it the more I believe she would win the Democratic nomination in a landslide. There’s no way in hell Joe Biden would stay in the race and run against her. Most everyone on his side would quickly fall in line behind her and she would also take voters away from Warren and Sanders.

Honestly, I think she could be sweet talked into it. Biden is cracking and the confidence in Warren and Sanders just isn’t as strong as a lot of people would like. Funding for her campaign wouldn’t be an issue. She might even see record amounts of money as soon as she announces. Voter support wouldn’t be an issue either. This isn’t the first poll that places her as a top candidate. Biden would drop out because the money would flow out of his campaign and into hers. It would be the perfect excuse too. He would be supporting his very good friend that the people want (or something along those lines). On top of catching most of Biden’s supporters she would siphon voters from Elizabeth and Bernie. Barack would also hit the campaign trail hard for her. The Democratic race could very well be over the moment her campaign announcement hits social media. Besides the fact that she's denied it several times.....I know Michael Moore has said she should run, but the truth is it wouldn't just be the conservatives going after Michelle—some of the far left "media" white progressives are low key (and not so low key) racist (I say this as a progressive WOC, who side eyes how many journalists interact with some of these a-holes). Mostly the Chapo Trap House podcast types and obviously not as bad as the conservatives, but still. She hates politics, and she'd be attacked on all sides and a lot of it would be racist—just have a hard time seeing her do it. Plus, the media doesn't cover it much for some reason but she's involved pretty heavily in the Obama Foundation. They gave out a bunch of grants and held a conference in South Africa this summer...I feel like her time is probably going to be mostly taken up with that. It would be cool, though. I'm honestly getting kind of worried. Biden and Warren are the only two consistently posting somewhat significant numbers when compared with Trump (Bernie used to, but he's slide down a lot). Biden (and Bernie) just come off as being too old for the job, and as much as I love Warren I really struggle to see how she'll pick up FL and/or AZ (and we'll need one, since large swaths of the Midwest are basically lost to us Democrats). Stupid, racist, dumb electoral college...it's so silly we don't go by the popular vote.

Economy 52,861
Omg this isnt a personality competition she has not been interested in politics and does not have a platform with plans why would people say they would vote for her if they dont even know exactly what shed do? America has to get over celebrity figures in politics and learn to split the two not saying a celebrity cant go into politics but who they are shouldnt be a factor in peoples voting decisions

And Barrack can't run again, so... I guess some people are turning to Michelle? Basically I think this is people projecting and wanting the Obama fam back. She won't do it, though. I get that shes well respected and her family as a whole is well liked shes a very likeable person and respected. I get that But that alone isnt a reason to say ud vote for someone. To say ud vote for someone means u support their plans which she doesnt have any so how can people say theyd vote for her? They are purely going by her status as a person not based on any kind of policy
Guest
As much as I hate Michelle Obama, I think shes the only one who can actually beat Trump. Maybe Bernie but only if he isnt scared to be himself and stop playing by the DNC and media rules. And I know people will laugh at this, but Tulsi Gabbard can easily beat Trump. She is the only true moderate candidate that everyone can support from Republicans, Libertarians, progressives, and democrats regardless of what they think about her policy. Her presence demands respect and she served in the military, which means Trump wont be able to make fun of her period and her being a woman. Trump tricks only work when hes against someone more corrupted than him like Hilary and Biden.

But you know some people would vote for her regardless of her policies lol.

Therefore, by nature anyone who supports Michelle wouldn’t exactly be a leftist. They would be centrists or liberals at most. This is because the Obamas aren’t exactly leftists themselves. Their policies and behaviors still align with capitalism, therefore making them democratically centre/liberal. Unfortunately, there is no real far left candidate in the USA. Neither is there a real leftist candidate. Bernie and Warren would be considered left-wing, but they are no where near the levels of left to become socialist runners. Therefore them and all other presidential candidates are scrutinized by the far left, because there is not a single one of them who want to dismantle the capitalist system. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
