Guest Posted July 21, 2019 Share Posted July 21, 2019 I don’t know about the rest of you but I remember being in 6th grade defending Gaga tooth & nail against “the straights” that were insisting she had a penis & making fun of anyone who liked her, believed in her or wanted to be fearless like her. Like it was so stressful lmfaooo I had to use every ounce of intelligence in my 6th grade toolbox to constantly fight off the herds of straight kids sh*tting on Gaga or me or other people who liked her trying to use art history & pop culture to prove why she was a genius & they’d regret making fun of her cause they’d soon love her. Like what was the alternative, go on a radical press campaign to fight off every accusation & bring out medical records to prove something that should’ve never been brought up in the first place? I feel like the only way she could deal with the rumors was to be in on the joke to show people how cool she was. Not to mention if the past is anything to learn from, we’ve seen how celebs get treated when they fight against rumors & tabloids. The overall tone of the clip was pretty playful & I’m glad Gaga responded the way she did. She really knows how to read a room & interact with people.
