I feel like The Fame album was designed to have all (or most) of it’s tracks to be marketable and to become hits. You could pull out any song and add good promotion to it = instant hit.

This one was more prone to success, due to it’s feature with Flo Rida.

I've said this a million times

 

- best selling non-single

- featured a popular rapper at the time

- it's a good length for radio

- appealing to females but the rap part appealing to males making it appealing to the masses

Sorry, but Marry the Night is the hit that got away. It had good songwriting, good vocals and overall a bop (come thru that last 30 seconds of the track).

The GP simply did not understand the greatness of it all, smh. :saladga:
