It’s a Lady Gaga forum. So naturally people will lean more liberal here. You aren’t entitled to people agreeing with you. There are plenty of people in here that I disagree with, but I don’t go making noise. I think his point is that it's others making constant noise tho I lowkey get a little annoyed here too with how aggressive many on GGD are with their beliefs on politics
shoful 13,304
@DCgaga Thank you for making this thread. I personally am conservative, I was Democratic until I saw them swing too far left for my liking, but I'd like to think I have a pretty centralist view point. Yes I am a Trump supporter and I post my opinions (unpopular to most on here) and get slammed for them every time. I try to be respectful and provide a conversation because I am interested in what the other side thinks, but if people just come in a quote me with rude and obnoxious remarks, thats when I get pissed. And probably in my past I have made some triggering posts maybe ridiculing the left and I am sorry for that but I truly do like to keep an open mind and listen to what everyone has to say. Also, yes I agree with what Trump has to say most of the time. Not all of the time. I definitely don't agree with his denial climate change (i think it exists and something needs to be done), but I also don't agree with AOC's green deal which is absolutely unrealistic. People who label Trump supporters as racist, homophobic, etc obviously don't really know what Trump stands for in those areas and just base their opinion off of what CNN states. I see things on Fox News all the time slandering democratic figure heads, but before I form an opinion about them I like to investigate online and watch the full video or full article of what they are speaking about and representing. Also, @Economy I lowkey live for all of your threads! They're always so informative and bipartisan! "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..." People, this is one brave soul, no seriously, people coming out like this is VERY risky on this site, I like that, whether people on here or I like your view or not, don’t feel afraid to express yourself, there’s nothing wrong with being a republican, or a Trump supporter for that matter, it has it’s own side for a reason

You wouldn't be able to be any singers fan if all republicans followed your theory. Why would people listen to a celebrities opinion alone to determine their political viewpoint. You realize they are multi-millionaires are a very detached from the average person's everyday struggles and life. Its your job to investigate and inform yourself on what political side more-so fits your ideals. Not a celebrity to tell you what you should be. "My name is Dita, I'll be your Mistress tonight..." Gaga has done some shady stuff that i didn't support but she always preaches love. Republicans seem like the new nazis. Also spare me with judging a person's character not their political views. Political views are part of someones character, it says a lot about them.

Political views are part of someones character, it says a lot about them. I don't agree with this because it over simplifies things and ignores the overall complexities of politics There's countless issues involved in politics and no party is the perfect party in everything... It also depends how much emphasis you put on one issue vs another For example on GGD LGBT issues seem to be the holy grail of politics like nothing else matters while I don't get so heavily swayed by that alone as many here might Other issues are also arbitrary. Not everything always has a right and wrong morally that even ppl in the same spectrum can agree with or have the same standard This idea that people who favour one party vs another makes them good or bad I find laughable It's almost like describing one party as heaven and the other as hell as if it's as simple and as black and white as that

Morphine Prince 109,683
Donald Trump has launched a full fledged attack on our Constitution, our rights, the world, and sanity. Anyone who stands by him is complicit. Fortunately, we have 2020 where you can choose to vote against the mistake you elected into office. However, with SCOTUS and a myriad of other things he’s already done, he has set back this country at LEAST 30-40 years.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I feel like some people don't realize that supporting a party that sees or treats any group of people as less than human, deserving of rights, a second class citizen, etc. because of their identity is going to cause concern. You might not see those things, but to people on the other side of the fence it's constantly in their faces. You might not even believe those things about that group of people/yourself/other groups of people, but the fact that you support them regardless feels like a middle finger to members of those groups, so they are reasonably upset, on edge, hostile around you. That's why being a conservative on a forums in a community that is actively persecuted by conservatives is not always met with a "ah we're all equal, opinions are opinions, politics shouldn't dictate how we can be civil, etc." The idea that political beliefs are sacrosanct, shouldn't be critiqued, seen as equally valid choices for the sake of discussion etc. is honestly bs. Not all ideas deserve engaging with seriously, be it for rhetorical, moral, or individual mental health reasons, and not all ideas should be seen as equally valid, especially when some ideas or related ones are debating the existence or validity of other people's experiences. It's one thing to talk about different approaches to tackling national debt, its another to talk about whether a group of people gets to be treated equally because of your biases, ignorance, etc. ~~~ I'd also like to say that I don't think that being racist, homophobic, etc. are inherent traits of conservative political ideology, as mentioned many aren't. It's just a fact that right now many conservative groups happen to be these things... or they realize that it pays off to act this way more than the opposite 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
