People REALLY don’t understand that “Free Speech” just means the GOVERNMENT cannot restrict, punish or discriminate against people for their own opinions and beliefs. However you still can be punished accordingly depending on what opinions you express, depending on if they impeach on other rights.

Exactly.
A lot of people think that freedom of speech means not facing the consequences of that speech. Just 'cause someone's allowed to say something doesn't mean people have to agree with them

North America (because of their first amendment rights) is—as far as I’m aware—the only western country that allows Hate Speech in public without legal consequence. But you can still be fined or arrested if you use said speech to incite violence. (Which Donald Trump did for January 6th btw.)

In the UK for instance you can be punished for public hate speech.

Back in the 2010s there was a term called "freeze peach" that people used to describe stuff that the far right said was free speech, but actually isn't. We should bring that back.
