A lot of the time her ideas do fall flat or are poorly executed but she at least ventures out of her comfort zone and tries things which I find is so important for an artist in general. Like the dialogue between her and Enigma at the Vegas show had tons of awkward moments and pointless moans / screams etc BUT how many artists you know would actually try something like that? The narrative imo was weak but again there was something new so it was nice. There are also tons of other examples like Volantis (The Flying Dress) and some of those underwhelming Intel effects during the Bowie tribute (imo) etc..but again...Gaga tries these things and that is so refreshing. It will pave the way for future artists to actually be able to properly execute some of those things because they can study from Gaga's experimentations as she came before them and I love that and thank her for that She's going to inspire a lot of fearless and creative artists down the line (she's already inspired some from our generation). There are also a lot of innovative ideas she and her team came up with / tested and tried through out the years that were successes as well such as the beautiful drones during her Superbowl and many other things. Just wanted to share this random opinion with you guys and maybe you can list some ambitious things Gaga has tested in the past (both the things that worked and the things that did not). Flawless is boring, it’s predictable, it gets old fast, it has a lack of raw human connection. What I love to see is pure ambition, and Gaga has that. If something falls flat, she at least had the ambition to try it (and it’s rare something does fall flat for me). Of all the things to love about Gaga my favorite thing is that she’s an artist. In a world of cookie cutter pop, she’s a true artist. With that comes ambition and constant creativity. Behind everything, the lyrics, the instruments, the videos, the outfits, the wigs, everything, is her artistic vision and she does her best to see it through, not only for herself but for her fans. She lives it and breathes it, and forever will. Thank you for sharing your opinion in a kind way and creating a positive thread. Yesterday I noticed tons of comments where ppl who enojed the show were totally destroying and viciously personally insulting ppl who did not and I was shocked. It is ok to dislike something and to voice it as long as it is not totally disrespectful. And vice versa.
