u probably think of the day she performed at AMAs live from JWT, she had different outfit and curly orange-ish hair
if the stage is in the movie they filmed it with no audience, and thats it 
and maybe they took some footage of the audience only during the concert but idk if thats legal

I was there for that show, in D.C., and she def didn't perform "The Shallow".

I'll bet you they filmed her performing inside while the arena was empty, and then filmed inside again when it was full, and merged the footage of the crowd into her performance. Pretty cool though that the JWT stage setup is immortalised in this film.

I'm sure this is exactly what happened. The production crew whenever she was filming at the Greek Theater mentioned that they would composite in more people to make the place looked packed. If they did that for that particular scene, I don't see why they wouldn't do it for others.

Nowadays a lot of movies have large crowds  that in fact are fake, are just edited ie. In a war or something. 

It is interesting that Bradley used Gaga career to make some scenes.( JWT, Coachella...). With a regular actress, he would not had all these opportunities.
