It’s really the antithesis of an album intentionally meant to be thoughtless and frivolous. Everything after that went downhill and my heart couldn't take any more heartbreakings : DWUW hype video then cancelledT, no video for Venus, no video for the rest of the tracks, unfinished app, no Remix nor USB editions, no Gypsy single, no relevant nominations, no Act II, betrayal from Gaga's friends, omg was so painful ... Face it, even C2C could be considered as a true Gaga era , with several videos, several special tracklisting, even a Box Set (when will ARTPOP?), a Tour and also a Tour Recording. Awards and the Gaga x Tony Team has such an cultural impact they even appeared in the Muppets Movie and South Park. Spoiler Not to forget Gaga was truly happy by then . I remember people who said they “didn’t like” ARTPOP and actually hadn’t even listened to the whole album. Her image in the media really hurt the way the album was received. It really is an amazing album and didn’t get a chance. Venus and MANiCURE are still top songs for me. When the album came out I used to play them nonstop for my friends. (People always liked Venus but MANiCURE could be hit or miss). I do think Joanne is better, but ARTPOP is fantastic. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
