I dont know if this thread is over but Telephone wasnt supposed to be on The Fame Monster. She originally wanted the track for The Fame but her label didnt let her have it since Britney didnt know if she was going to use it on her own record. But then she pulled it for TFM after Britney dropped it.

i think u freaky but you don't have a hit

I think that Teeth and DIC could switch and match each others' albums better, tbh

Teeth seems super cajun and bar-style, which fits in on Joanne

DIC is a straight up TFM hit, a dance club bop

I love them both, and I hear a lot of similarities. I just think it's a neat idea :laughga:

but TFM has SHIC which is the superior one if you pitted it against DIC :lolga: I'd leave it on Joanne

Britney's label rejected Telephone and Gaga tried to put it on The Fame but the album was already being pressed by the time she tried to include it. Brit's label only rejected the song because she already recorded "Phonography" and they didn't want another song on the album revolving around phones.

On the topic of telephone, did y'all know Americano was meant to be Paparazzi part 3, so Aura would then be 4?

Yes, it was written for The Fame Monster.

From my perspective, the song is about Luc Carl when he told her she would die alone rich in a mansion. It was Gaga during her darkest time -- she still loved Luc but was heartbroken by him. Bloody Mary is actually a reference to Luc's car, Bloody Mary.

Didn't know this :udidnt: #flopfan

It probably has a double meaning! Just like with Judas, she used biblical themes as a metaphor for situations that were happening in her personal life. The song was definitely inspired by her car Bloody Mary, she confirmed this, and she called Mary Magdalen "the ultimate rockstar's girlfriend." basically confirming Luc has something to do with its meaning.

Bloody Mary is essentially about how Luc is gone, but she struggles with coming to terms with this because she is unconditionally in love with him. When he leaves her, she goes back to being Bloody Mary. He told her she would die rich and alone, so it's not surprising why she'd feel this way. "I'll wait on mountain tops in Paris cold. I'm scared to die alone."

"We are not just art for Michaelagelo, he can't rewrite the agro of my furred heart." Is basically saying people can try to create her into something, but no one can translate the pain Luc has caused her into art which truly justifies the extent. "When you're gone, I'll tell them my religions you" is a reference to Teeth, which was a reference to Luc.

The demonic chants "GAGA GAGA" I feel are her way of saying that Gaga has become this powerful monstrous entity. She intimidated Luc, and he perceived her as greedy and power-hungry in the end. She's basically being what he perceived her as. Also that could be why she says money in the very beginning. Gaga is trying to come across as what Luc has mistaken her for.

Love these intepretations of the song:diane::heart:
