Favorite Rihanna album?

1. Rated R - 4/5 Rihanna's darkest work and one of her most emotional. Not overly concerned about commercial reception here, she just put her heart out there and it shows.

2. Loud - 3.5/5 Some of Rihanna's best ever work is here. A good mix of pop and urban. Not filler-less as it was billed but more than enough good tracks.

3. Good Girl Gone Bad 3.5/5 A pretty generic album but good generic all the same. Not much more to say.

4. ANTI - 3/5 One of her biggest risks but still not as risk taking as billed. Some really good tracks mixed with some definite stinkers and she should have kept her original first 3 singles on the album.

5. A Girl Like Me - 3/5 Generic album and very fitting of the terms, very dated. Pretty forgettable, but it's not bad.

6. Music Of The Sun - 3/5 Generic debut, not bad but not overly good. Not much more to say.

7. Talk That Talk - 1.5/5 The definition of a rushed album. Apparently these tracks started out as a Loud re-release but got turned into a full album last minute. This is when the quality went out the window. From boring to plain bad, this was a hard listen and 2 of the better tracks got shoved on the deluxe. And that remix with Chris was sickening.

8. Unapologetic - 1/5 Her worst ever. A whole album devoted to the violent criminal that is Chris Brown, painting him as a misunderstood angel with broken wings, practically sexualising and romanticising his past, making it out to be no big deal. But aside from all that, there was only about 3 good songs anyway but maybe the score would still not be the worst if it hadn't been for the former reason. Why critics applauded it and fans (who encouraged her to leave Chris) bought it makes me despair for this world.
