monstereo 1,232 Posted July 4, 2016 Share Posted July 4, 2016 It seems that ever since last year, Gaga has been dressing down a lot: to award shows, presentations, etc. And we all thought she was going to change and give us some iconic looks for the LG5 era, but it seems like she's been going in a stripped down approach. She's always dressing casually/formally and its just boring and predictable. Her visuals and performance appearances just don't have the same impact as her previous eras. I just wish she would stop trying to be like the artists from the 70s and focus on showcasing something that would make her stand out as an artist. Right now she just blends in, and everywhere I go people are like 'I wouldn't have recognized her' because people know Gaga for her avant garde looks. The music is great, and the first single is great, but the promotion is just as important. It makes me sad that Gaga is doing the album's music injustice with the visual aesthetics and styling portion of things. If we had the songs during the BTW era, she would've slayed the **** out of them and done them justice. Is Gaga just losing her creativity? What do you think? Will things change later in the LG5 era? We don't know what it will even sound like, let alone what she will be wearing during its promotion. Give the gal a rest, dear. She hasn't lost anything, she's taking a deserved rest. The MET Gala appearance proves she's not forgotten her Gaga roots. It just feels like she's been dressing down a lot more recently because it's been so freaking long since music came out.
