I always felt like Kylie was more "gay" and Madonna was more "for gays", but gays never really appreciated her activism for gays, like how they never appreciates Gaga's activism, they always find a reason why it's never satisfying and always wants more and more, like putting the whole LGBTQ+ fight on the shoulders of 2 women, while most of them barely goes to a gay pride because it's hot or their legs hurts.

Madonna will stay the queen of the gays until her unfortunate death, she just did SO MUCH for our community at a time where it was career-suicide for most artists to be associated with our fággotry. Then Gaga will inherit the throne.

Judy Garland, Elizabeth Taylor are also up there. Cher! Billie Jean! Princess Diana!

I am obviously biased but I think Madonna is #1, Gaga #2.

Madonna is a trailblazer and prototype of a pop star gay rights activist. Gaga inherited that for a generation of millennials. Gaga's activism has somewhat softened over the years, and also gotten less controversial as she gets older. Madonna's still pushing boundaries (although her music isn't really my cup of tea anymore). For that reason alone, Madonna gets my vote.

For different generations. The reason there isn't ONE is because it depends who was there for you during your formative years when it really mattered.
