And because she only had 2 big albums, as big as they were, the commulative success isnt that impressive in total numbers if thats all her success is in her touring was lack luster and really her spikes in fame were short lived. During 21 era she was popular for 18 months then disapeared, now she recently had a smaller peak She had a lot if potential but she did not release enough to comulatively have more sucess in total than many other artists I just think her domination for 18 months was a once in a generation phenomenon. She almost single-handely ended the Late 00's Club Boom with 21. 21 alone puts her in the Top 5, not to mention the records she broke with 25. While 25 does sort of pale in comparison to 21's longevity, the sales records she broke in the streaming era are VERY impressive imo. Where in my post is that? Her "cumulative success" (as you keep putting it) over the past 8/9 years is greater than most pop stars have in their entire career. I honestly don't understand how you can even question it and quite honestly, don't see what your point is. Let me just quote this good sis who says everything that needs to be said: /thread Well u were talking about how she had to cancel the tour and took time off cause of her child. So yes u did give reasons for her not reaching her full potential Now albums wise she clearly dominated. But thats the only category she was at the top for Now a fair debate is what matters more in measuring success. I can be open to the opinion of Adele being in the top 5... I merely wanted to mention that theres a lot of aspects in which she trailed other artists in the list
Gardevoir 9,822
Some of you are seriously not putting Gaga on this list? Lol, reality check is needed. Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

I don't know anyone at all who likes her or actually follows her. I'd put her on the same level as Adele, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, etc. Super famous, but not really THAT big and relevant. You're joking right? Beyoncé's popularity is massive. I know a lot of people that likes her and/or follows her. I can say the same about Rihanna or Katy Perry... Their popularity is super overestimated. I don't know anyone at all who likes them or actually follows them. In fact people scoff at the mention of their name. You get make fun of and mocked if you say you like them around here. I put them on the same level as Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, etc. Famous, but not really THAT big and relevant. They're fame, relevancy, and impact is so grossly exaggerated.

And has had a much bigger impact than her, as well. #1 Lady Gaga #2 Beyoncé #3 Adele #4 Britney Spears #5 Rihanna

IMO her success is mostly because she's an excellent songwriter, she writes simple yet meaningful, easy to connect to lyrics.. Her albums are always a pleasure to listen to! I disagree, I think she's an awful songwriter, But that's just my opinion.

I mean, if it wasnt for her we would not have Adele now. She paved the way for many other female performers, Duffy, Lily Allen, Florence.. Lily Allen was famous before Adele. --------- How tf are some ppl saying that 1D/JB are bigger than Gaga? Gaga's peak (the release of BTW the single) was larger than any of the other artist's who were mentioned combined! Sure, she hasn't had pop music in three years but her impact in her previous works and stuff she's done post AP is FAR enough to propel her into the top 3 biggest artists from 2006-2016.
