The European Championships begin this week, this year the football/soccer competition which occurs every 4 years is hosted in France. As a football/soccer fan I'm very excited about the tournament and hope England can win which they have never done before however we have won the world cup before which also occurs every 4 years.

So I am starting a competition on this thread which will continue throughout the whole of the European Championships which go on for a few weeks to see which member is the best at predicting scores for selected matches.

To play this game you don't need to know much about football and I'm sure lots of you on here dont know much about football which will make this competition quite funny as we may get some ridiculous predictions hopefully. You just need to guess the results for the selected matches and football can be pretty unpredictable so you may have a chance of winning.

An example of how the game will be played is this:

Round 1 of predictions:

Wales vs Russia

England vs Slovakia

Spain vs Hungary

UK Monster's predictions:

Wales 1-0 Russia

England 3-1 Slovakia

Spain 1-0 Hungary

Actual Outcome:

Wales 1-1 Russia 0 points rewarded because a win for wales was predicted and not a draw/tie

England 1-0 Slovakia 2 points rewarded because you predicted an England win which was correct

Spain 1-0 Hungary 5 points awarded because you predicted Spain to win and you got the exact scoreline correct!

After each round of matches I will add up the points and create an updated league table for us.

This is just a bit of fun dont feel put off because you aren't interested in watching soccer or football please all you need to do is guess some scores its really easy to play. So if you want to compete just say so in this thread.

Lol England won't win  I think France will win as they have the crowd on their side and just gut feeling.

I agree I really don't think England will win but the world expects us to deliver because we have the biggest footballing league in the world so we always have pressure but we always flop in the quarters usually. France normally do similar to us but I have a feeling they will at least get to the semis this year and maybe win it. So do you want to join the game its going to be simple I just pick some selected matches post them on here and players will predict the scores.

Just like Eurovision, we have the biggest music market in Europe by far and always underperform.

well if you want to win then send good songs. Having biggest market doesn't mean you should win, a song you send determines where you will place

England will not win. Spain will not win. It'll be either France/Germany or a country perceived as having no chance will come unexpectedly out of the blue (England is excluded from this prediction)
