Yanko 9,860
in the verse where he mentions iggy he's also talking about himself " the verse is someone talking to him and saying he's among those listed and criticized for using black culture. He references his own album in the next line. The lyrics of the verse are from that of someone speaking to him and all the artists accused of appropriation. "

Judas Oyster 1,915
Smart move. I like the lyrics. Edit: This is so good that it felt like I was watching a documentary
Daredevil 2,133
He's right tho. He's using his fame and privilege to send a message. There's nothing wrong about that. It's better than saying nothing and ignoring the real issues. When he rapped "Same Love" you were down on your knees for him, because it affected you. Now he's rapping about other real issues, but you are offended because he dissed your fave? Miley and Iggy are not only untalented, but also racists. I could give you 100 receipts for both arguments, but I'm on mobile.

We can't just talk about such issues while white people sit on the sidelines. That's why you see videos of white people not wanting to discuss race issues because they don't believe they have a voice. Or are even allowed one for that matter. I welcome this. He is deliberately installing himself into the Black Lives Matter discussion for fame and profit. The people in the movement have said, they don't want white people speaking for them. There is a way to be part of the discussion without exploiting it. It has nothing to do with "sitting on the sidelines", a line he implanted into this song to justify his money grab. But he is white so he shouldn't say it. But black people are being discriminated against by whites and someone should speak up! But not a white person because they might make money if they do. It does seem like a confusing train of thought, let me tell you.
