When was the first time out of curiosity?

When Rick finds out Lori didn't make it.

When Abraham dies I was like: Ok, fine. I din't expect that but ok.

But I never thought that Negan kill two of the group, Rick was SHOOK and me too. Negan is the villain we deserve:diane:

Sistrens, I'm still shook. They really went all out with the prosthetic/makeup on Glenn. About as gruesome as it was in the comics tbh. Expected Abraham to swoop in to take Glenn's death but not for it to end up a twofer. Could be we're in for a good season.

I thought it was a great 1st episode of the new season.  They had to tug on some heartstrings to propel the show forward.  They haven't showed a S1 character getting killed since Andrea back in S3.  And as the actor who played Abraham said, he was living on borrowed time.  They had to bring back some of the unexpected and drop some character shields after last season with Glenn and the dumpster.  Glad they did that now, this death had more impact than the other one would have.

Also, we are more sympathetic to Rick's group since we've been with them since the start.  But killing some of Negan's gang in their sleep is pretty villainous too.  From Negan's POV, Rick's people killed lots of his, while he only killed 2 (so far).  Hope they spend at least one episode on Negan's backstory, if he's meant to be a major character now.

Looking forward to seeing The Kingdom, King Ezekiel, and all that that entails next time.  Is this good thing not going to last?  Seems like anything Rick or his group touches eventually turns to ****.  :toofunny:

The season 7 premiere is the 2nd highest rated episode of the series with a little over 17 million live views and could become the highest after DVR is included.

It's a good start for the season. It was a 2 for 1 Negan special. I'm surprised that Glenn lasted as long as he did. The fans were so pro Glenn that he was living on borrowed time even though he could and should have been eliminated earlier. It was good timing to do it when they did. It will be interesting to see if Daryl is loyal to Rick's group or he decides to be Negan's sidekick.

The Walking Dead gave the world an early Halloween fright. It WAS brutal and we were all exhausted after watching this episode, but it had to be this way, if they are to stay true to Negan's character. I don't think the rest of the series will be so exploitative. There was no other way around this scene and introduction.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I'm here for more devastation and exploitation. TWD is best when it's brutal and emotional. Negan is suppose to be 1 of the cruelest villians on the show and comic, so I'm expecting season 7 to be crazy.

It seems like our family will be rather separated a lot this season, but I imagine that they will all come back together later. This episode was a good showing of a new place with it's new personalities. King Ezekiel is great. I already like him and his community. I do feel like it's a perfect place for Morgan, in particular.
