ohh hold my weave gurrrl

have you guys ever heard any slow, deep, emotional and raw song by queen b? probably not, judging from what you're all sayin'. gaga gave up her best vocals back in the middle of the fame monster era (listen to acoustic versions of eh eh, bad romance). now she focuses a lot on production and that doesn't take her too far while beyonce on the other hand belts out her voice slayin u all b---hes

We are comparing live. :awkney: Also we obviously have heard her performances. This has nothing to do with the points in here. All agreed that Beyonce's technique is superior. We are talking about the voice itself.

Beyonce relies heavily on backing vocalists, backing track, and has been caught lipsynching on several occasions so I wouldn't be too confident about her stage presence.

Bey is def a better singer, but her voice really sinks to the mass of black singers. Also I don't like behind Mariahs footsteps Beyonce always shouts. But I must say Gagas voice isn't very recognizable either, her voice is very similar to Xtina especially on Just Dance and DWUW.

Anyways for me: Gaga

Stage presence doesn't necessarily come from live singing

Beyonce.

For some reason I prefer gagas edited vocals over her actual vocals.

I guess we can 'compare' them, but not state which of them is better.

We can tell the good and the "bad" characteristics of each one, and say what we like the most about one or another. But saying which is better...That just makes no sense. They're both amazing singers. Some will highlight Beyonce's technique, others Gaga's uniqueness. Uncomparable.

Couldn't help but think of Pokemon while reading this. :hehe:

It's like comparing the stats of the different Pokemon. Well, Beyonce is a rare catch and would definitely be on my party, but Lady Gaga I choose you. :miley:

Bey by a country mile. I mean Gaga is good but dope at youtube awards was abysmal. Plus bey can dance and sing with nearly zero effect on vocals

I don't need to do any comparisons, I just like Gaga's voice better. But Beyonce has a beautiful strong voice.

I used to prefer Gaga's voice but prefer Beyonce's atm

Her old feminine pop voice is so pretty. I also loved her low almost androgynous voice she often used (Poker Face verses,  Dance In The Dark, Born This Way, G.U.Y. pre-chorus etc). Her old voice was perfect and her 'iconic' voice to me.

But this era her voice has become so broadway, like a music theater singer. It's very unappealing to the point where her vocals often even detract from the songs imo.

So Beyonce's I guess, it's more pleasant to me nowadays.

I think Bey has greater technique and control and what not but gaga is definitely more versatile and can sing Jazz, Rock, Pop, Ballads etc

Gaga is a low singer though, especially for a woman. She sings better the low ranges. Read the description.

She used to sing better in high ranges. No.
