Foivos 64
Touring has almost nothing to do with sales. In Europe Gaga can easily perform the dates she performed during BTWB or even add extra in UK in cities like Birmingham etc. In Asia Gaga MUST do 2 Tokyo Dome concerts (50.000 each) because she is huge there. As for the other countries she can do the same dates too if she has good promo and another ok hit. In USA it is obvious that she will add extra dates to the already announced such as at least 2 more LA concerts and 2 NYC concerts and Midwest that she complete;y ignored. In Canada her 5 dates sold out within hours while the album and DWUW are smashing so she can add a couple extra dates in Toronto Montreal and Winnipeg. In Latin America she can do 2 Brazil concerts too but in smaller venues as not to seem like a flop like it seemed when she performed in a 90.000 venue with 25.000 people. She has the biggest fanbase in Brazil so it is easy.. In other countries it is still possible to tour but with a little extra help of another hit or huge promo. In Oceania though , I hope she can do 2 concerts in Sydney and 2 concerts in Melbourne
itsdominik 16,745
ARTPOP is #53 on the official charts down from #50 It has never been discounted here while it was discounted in the US 2 times.
Mills 446
I don't think DWUW if performed will benefit much compared to other songs And that was what I pointed out on the second paragraph of my post, didn't I? That it'd be more preferable if she chooses to perform the third single, instead of DWUW - well this is all under an assumption that she'd somehow appear. 1.000.000 views http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAeV90a5l-E 1.5 million views by the end of the week, here we go! Touring is about how many big, memorable hits gou've had, how much touring reputation you have and overall demand. Gaga's big memorable hits are PF, Paparazzi, BR, Alejandro and BTW. Last year she also had Telephone, TeoG, Judas and Just Dance which were still remembered by lots of people but Applause and DWUW are Judas-sized hits tbh. She'll have a lot more competition too: 1D, Miley, Katy and Beyonce are touring next year too. I'd say make the US leg ArtRave p. I, release and promote ARTPOP Act. II and go to Europe, Asia, Oceania, South Africa, North America and Latin America in 2015.

As for Katy, ... she ain't a competition.... Especially in France after the NRJ awards... I think every normal person must have erased Katy for the wanna-see-live artists
Luc 4,775
It has never been discounted here while it was discounted in the US 2 times. Not a good argument in my opinion. Is it usual for albums to get lots of discounts outside the UK and the US? And if so, how do you even know it hasn't been discounted in Austria? There are many retailers - Saturn, MediaMarkt, iTunes, etc. where you can buy music.

I think every normal person must have erased Katy for the wanna-see-live artists Katy and Miley are competition, it's the same kind of people who go to pop girl concerts. Look how Madonna vs. Gaga went in Latin America. And Beyonce's added a second European leg for 2014 which has already sold out. Kylie will likely be touring Europe by fall too. Another long tour with no new music, she'll lose further momentum.
Luc 4,775
The only way the European leg of the ArtRave - if in 2014 - would be bigger than the BTWBall, is if she has a big third single and goes to many more cities she hasn't been in for a very long time or hasn't ever been - Istanbul, Athens, Kyiv, Glasgow, Bordeaux, Rome, Madrid, Zagreb, Warsaw, etc.
Foivos 64
Gaga must pull a Carter World Tour alike tour.. Beyonce does a lot of legs to support the release of 2 albums. Gaga must do the same. I mean she must do at least 130 shows to support both ACT I and ACT II

Robotboy 1,700
OF COURSE gaga will tour in all continents touring was always her strongest. and people dont buy music anymore. but they sure go to concerts. anyway if the video comes monday, we can still have a new single at the grammys. Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.
comrade 33
touring has a lot to do with sales but there's a certain lag or delay. gaga still has touring power because she was everywhere during born this way, she can rely on that legacy. the underperformance of ARTPOP will only affect her future tours. if her next album is at least as lackluster, her touring power will take a hit, because there's not much to rely on anymore. Well, on iTunes it is easy to check and everytime I go to the mall I go (i dont know why) to the cds and look if ARTPOP is there and it wasnt discounted yet. Anyway, I think it is safe to say that Gaga is doing really good in Austria (she is slaying imo) and that Austria is very supportive to Gaga :)
