It would mark the second chart-topping week for the album, which debuted at No. 1 a week ago, selling 792,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. Lady Gaga's current No. 1, "ARTPOP," could also hold atop the list. It bowed in the penthouse this week with 258,000 sold." Pretty obvious it's not gonna happen though The only contender is billed to sell around 80,000 copies, and for ARTPOP to sell over that it could only afford around a 31% drop - about half of the usual industry second week fall. But, considering that the first week wasn't particularly incredible perhaps it doesn't have too much room to fall. I reckon ARTPOP will go head to head with it. Lady 748 Posted November 21, 2013 Share Posted November 21, 2013 I am scared about ACT 2 etc.. :X She better release Gypsy as the 3rd single let It smash, and then she better release a smash for a lead single for the Act 2 because If she releases another Applause IDk .. the album sales will be really low and It will look even worse with a 2nd album I can't even see Interscope letting her release ACT 2 when ACT 1 is doing so poorly. It just doesn't make sense, they would lost so much money. Isn't part 2 usually for albums that are extremely successful?! I think she's just going to release them via APP. It just doesn't make sense, they would lost so much money. Isn't part 2 usually for albums that are extremely successful?! I think she's just going to release them via APP. I'm sure they'd let her do it if it was a TFM/Re-Up situation where it's basically a short album billed as a re-release to boost the overall sales. Not only is he an established album seller, he also has a worldwide smash hit in his favor. I just hope ARTPOP manages to stay within the top five next week. And more so, I hope the AMA performance would both move the sales of DWUW and the album itself upwards. It has to, same goes with all the major artists performing at the AMAs.
