Americano 31,061
Don't get overdramatic about DWUW video, it's destined to have moderate success WW, just like Applause. Simple as that, I've been telling this since the beginning. Gypsy will probably be the era's biggest hit. I highly doubt that. DWUW will be much bigger WW than Applause. Luc 4,775
lets focus on the first battle: going #1 in the US. Which isn't likely happening for DWUW. It's much more important to focus on Top 5 longetivity in every major market.
NewYorkCity 10,517
DWUW is going to do amazing. I have friends in college who are not fans and they are no into this pop-world but they are already singing this song. My best friend, who hates Gaga because of me (even tho she was the one who showed Gaga the first time back in 2008), told me about DWUW yesterday: you know... this song is actually really good and I like it. So we have a very big hit in front of us if Gaga and her team handle it well. We just need an amazing video asap.
Arturo 40,746
Just noticed how many times Katy performed Roar WW. Applause could have done much better WW if it had the promo Roar had
Whispering 18,865
And this is why you plan singles better to begin with so you dont have this issue, where a video is not ready and the song was already #1 WW without any sort of plan to keep it going until weeks later The switchover shouldve never happened, DWUW should have been the choice from the start. No one plans out exact singles for an album era and sticks to it, no matter the circumstances. Music isn't an exact science. You can't predict the trends or what songs people will relate to or accept the most from an artist. Katy's team picked the wrong second single. They will push it to the top, and it will get there, because they have the undying support of radio stations, but it could have been an easy ride with Dark Horse. Why would Gaga's team pick DWUW from the start? It's not a typical song that people expect from Gaga in any way and her collaboration partner could have possibly proved to be problematic. I could see them loving the song, but not knowing if it would be something that the GP would automatically accept from Gaga or not. There are lots of factors and unknowns when choosing singles and everyone, EVERYONE gets them wrong from time to time. I look at it as a positive that Gaga was flexible and open minded to a change in direction.

Honestly, all you bring to this thread is negativity and you overdramaticly use the word 'flop' each f*cking post.

DWUW isn't better than Venus, but DWUW is much more relatable and single-worthy than "aphrodite lady seashell bikini garden panty venus" Ah, don't we have #1 on lock though? :megaflop: I just want the singles to perform well tbh. That's the only thing needed for a smash album. Ugh I'll hate Interscope forever if they don't have Gaga promote Gypsy everywhere.
