Now there are way too many options and it’s gotten out of hand ꕤ。˚⋆ just smile :) ♡🦋
bxr 3,291 Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:04 AM What a time to be an independent incumbent media publisher (any platform from probably 2012 or earlier, but really any platform with a definitive editorial lens and dedicated audience) … the handful that are left are going to be a rare breed with truly paramount real estate … integrity outside the corporate convergence and media monopolies will be priceless in the forseeable
Lord Mayhem 3,729 Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM So what is the point of raising the price of the Disney App if you dont even need a subscription to watch what should be Disney exclusive content...this is Disney basically submitting to Netflix as a platform superior to its own and therefore Disney should be treated more as a channel on Netflix platform....WHAT A FLOOOOOOPPPP!!! DISNEY IS ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE!!! 1
Helxig 45,833 Posted yesterday at 03:29 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:29 AM Sounds good on paper, but how are they gonna use this agreement to f.uck us? Everybody needs to boycott streaming services and go back to pirating immediately I've been doing it for a while now. We need to hit them where it hurts I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
RAMROD 118,234 Posted yesterday at 03:59 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:59 AM Nice. I suppose this is because Warner is purchased by Ellis. So they can't do that MX, Hulu, D+ bundles anymore? DISNEY IS ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE!!! To be fair Disney has probably been rolling in his grave since the 90s. Because a lot of the movies abandoned his philosophy of what animation should be with their stories/adaptations and direct to sequel videos. His entire philosophy was that animation could be a medium for all and deal with deep and current societal things. So he would’ve absolutely wanted Disney to be “woke” as weird right wing people call it. He also believes the idea should inform the story not the other way around. Plus he was strictly for animation and animation evolving only; so he would've hated the remake wave of the last 10 years.

They both benefit from it; Disney gets a fee and backend off Netflix, and Netflix gets to retain some subscribers who don’t want to have multiple app subscriptions. My guess is; they’re probably working together because Disney would happily buy Netflix in the future if it needs to. Especially if Skydance becomes massive. Probably hoping for cross platform promotion.

DISNEY IS ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE!!! None of this post is true LMAO The content that is going to Netflix is incredibly limited and this is essentially just an advertisement for Disney+. They are retaining the majority of the exclusive content and giving Netflix a limited time license for an extremely limited, specific number of titles that Disney wants to cross promote. Percy Jackson being the big one as it has a third season that will air only on D+ coming out soon. They have done these sorts of agreements before with Netflix specifically in different regions around the world and it in the end led to them getting a boost in subscribers. All this is is a way to entice more people to come into the Disney ecosystem and it works very well. Walt would not be rolling in his grave at this. He did very similar things in his lifetime with the television and documentary content that Disney produced in his lifetime, especially around the time that Disneyland opened. I’m a bit of an amateur expert on the Walt Disney Company, I’ve spent well over a decade now closely following how they operate out of pure interest in them as a company (they’re extremely interesting to follow!). Trust me, this isn’t submission. All this does is get people hooked onto Disney content so they naturally migrate to Disney+ for more. Not unlike how many drug dealers give out their stuff for free for first timers. Universal and Warner Bros. also uses this model. They license some of their content to Netflix and YouTube despite having their own services. It’s all for exposure and advertising purposes. River 129,411 Posted yesterday at 07:22 AM Share Posted yesterday at 07:22 AM Can all the services just work on one hub with 1 payment and get their fair share? Would also open up opportunities to work together 🤷♂️ I mean the current state of the streaming services is simply not working and the quality is free falling for years now.. I’m basically paying netflix for one month once a year and watching everything i need then I cancel it lol So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
