Favio is Jair Bolsonaro's son. Jair is serving 27 years in prison for potting to assassinate Lula and half the country thinks it's ok to put his son in office. A country just as rotten as the US. Very interesting to witness from the outside. Big mistake they are making but they will get what they deserve just like the US. Nessun Dorma 10,385
I’m shattered, all the polls indicated a different outcome. It’s disgusting to see the far right taking over my country, not only in the executive branch but also in the legislative. Our democracy and sovereignty are at serious risk and people are so blind by ideologies that they can’t see what they are really choosing for our future 1 6
Sneaky Oliver 23,094
I’m so disappointed and hopeless about the future. It’s so scary that we might fall back into the far-right claws. Bolsonaro is not just a far-right leader, he’s a supporter of the military regime, he’s the reason why Brazil couldn’t get vaccines and ultimately save the lives of 700k citizens, he’s a threat to our democracy and now that his son is possibly becoming the next president, he will get out of jail soon Edited October 5 by Sneaky Oliver 1
Magui 2,664
I was following this election mainly just see if some political balance was possible for Latin America. The way I see another Bolsonaro is going to win big, Brazil it's going right and aligned with Trump, just like other latim countries, I just don't know how much far right we are talking. I'm just sad cause Brazil is such a big and important country... I knew that this outcome was big probability, but guess hope is last one to die.

I guess it was going one way or the other. But the way I see it now Bolsonaro is going to win. Even if Lula performs a miracle (I found it almost impossible, looking at the final numbers), it's almost impossible to do something with a Senade like that.
Red 99,659
@americans I need the tutorial on how to not have a mental breakdown after getting rid of a far right president just for them to come back after one term If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Cssomeone 1,720
Long story short: we are cooked It's very unlikely Lula will turn things around. Most of the people who voted for Cury (3rd place) will probably vote for Bolsonaro, and I highly doubt that the people who were absent (21% of the people who were able to vote) will turn up.

We will endure another decade ( and I'm being optimistic) of this, it's rising . Unfortunately the way I see it we have suffer and see rights we take for granted alienated... And then the global revolution you mentioned will happen. But right now everyone is blind.
Emvee 8,897
There’s a reason why Twitter was plastered with Brazilian crime videos. It was definitely on the far-right’s radar. I won’t even say it’s just Elon Musk cause we know it’s a whole network of people who aim to destabilize countries so that they can be sold for parts. Combined with Marques and Mendonça, Flávio would easily secure a majority on any case that interests him. 1
