Yeah, having a pic of Josh as your avatar makes that clear. :)

I haven't got around to watching the original Dark Knight yet (and it's been on my DVD shelf for awhile)

I think Josh is actually cute. (No Rainbow)

And you should watch The Dark Knight it's a really good movie I've seen it multiple times and it's amazing :legend:

The Hunger Games has officially passed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow Pt. 2's total gross in the US and Canada. Remember, THG did all this WITHOUT the 3D inflated ticket prices. This basically means that more people saw The Hunger Games than the highest grossing Potter film in the US/Canada.

SO SUCK IT, POTTER.

just posted a Hunger Games themed song parody:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8111502/1/The_Smoky_Sky

Here's the one that I did before:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8008566/1/The_Meadow_Fields_v2

These are set in the regular Hunger Games universe, not the alternate universe of my Gale's Hunger Games story. I'll use tweaked versions of these songs when the time comes. Right now, I'm still in the middle of Chapter 5.

what's so funny? ;)

Yes they're parodies, but not intended in the silly funny sense.

I just finished the book tonight, oh my god. I feel like I've been hit by a ton of bricks, what an experience. I was expecting to hate it because I figured it would be like Twilight (sorry, Stephenie Meyer's writing is awful) but I was pleasantly surprised. Katniss is ma homegurl :dies: The ending is such a ****ing cock tease, I'm so glad my mom has Mockingjay upstairs so I can continue reading! I haven't even seen the movie yet, but my mom and I are going to see it tomorrow. I cannot wait, she gave me the book after reading it and we talked about it as I was reading. My mom and I are total Peeniss stans :legend:

which book did you finish reading?

I wonder what Collins thinks about Meyer being compared unfavorably to her.

I'd been wondering what all the hype was about all these years so I gave in and bought the first book last week. I actually really liked it. Ended up buying and reading the second book a couple days ago and I plan on buying the last book tomorrow if I can find it. I'm thinking about watching the movie as well. Collins really knows how to pull at those heartstrings.

The way I see that:

With first-person narration (at least the way Collins does it), there's less detail on the setting and secondary characters. It can be frustrating to have those holes in the world.

That would be my only complaint in regards to the books. I'm not usually a big fan of that style of writing. Edited by RedGlitter

The first one. I found out my mom just finished Mockingjay and I was going to borrow it from her until I realized that it's not the second book. She'll probably be annoyed to find out that she forgot to get Catching Fire. And I'd think she's probably amused by it.

Yeah, I was advised to read Catching Fire before Mockingjay, and did so.

I still haven't read the first book yet; I was able to follow the rest of the series from the movie.

another bicycle ride to a library branch halfway across town.

Picked up the 1st book, and the tribute guide book.
