Remember, THG did all this WITHOUT the 3D inflated ticket prices. This basically means that more people saw The Hunger Games than the highest grossing Potter film in the US/Canada. I was expecting to hate it because I figured it would be like Twilight (sorry, Stephenie Meyer's writing is awful) but I was pleasantly surprised. Katniss is ma homegurl The ending is such a ****ing cock tease, I'm so glad my mom has Mockingjay upstairs so I can continue reading! I haven't even seen the movie yet, but my mom and I are going to see it tomorrow. I cannot wait, she gave me the book after reading it and we talked about it as I was reading. I actually really liked it. Ended up buying and reading the second book a couple days ago and I plan on buying the last book tomorrow if I can find it. I'm thinking about watching the movie as well. Collins really knows how to pull at those heartstrings. The way I see that: With first-person narration (at least the way Collins does it), there's less detail on the setting and secondary characters. It can be frustrating to have those holes in the world. That would be my only complaint in regards to the books. I'm not usually a big fan of that style of writing.
