No I didn't talk to every radio DJ in the country, but some stations are still informed that Venus the second single and have it ready to play it

No they don't  :lmao: Songs don't get sent to radio until the very last minute. No radio station is/was ready to play Venus, and some are already picking up DWUW.

You're right, this is the U.S. chart thread lol. It's doing fine internationally so far. Again, just released Monday lol

I do agree that it's doing fine, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't have been done better

Lady Gaga’s Do What U Want (featuring R Kelly) will become chart eligible once the related album pre-order promotion ends. Official Chart rules, as agreed in committee with the British music industry, allow one ‘instant grat’ promotion per album, i.e a single track download given away as an album pre-order incentive. Do What U Want is the second track to be delivered to fans who pre-order ARTPOP, the track will become eligible to chart once the current chosen promotional period ends and the full album is released on 11

November.

Comparing us to that free falling star every week? Lol

Obviously she'd do better than that

Then why are you freaking out? lol

You're comparing Biebs to the Gagz? :ghostney:

Interscopes promotional account hasn't even posted about DWUW being a single yet

:lmao:

let's hope they've changed their minds and that's why everyone's so quiet after that announcement last night...

It would be different if they released Venus, it was floppy, and they decided to rush-release DWUW instead. That would be a REAL mess. This is nowhere close to a situation like that.

I still think it's stupid that they ditched Venus just like that because it's still coming out, as well as Dope, so that's going to confuse people immensely. But I do agree with you. I just don't see the point in having a meltdown over something that we can't personally change. We just need to see what they're gonna do about this whole mess and hope that it works out okay. DWUW is a good song, we all seem to love it, so it deserves some decent promo and attention in order to become a hit. Maybe they can start with reuploading the song to YouTube lol

that strikes me as a dumb rule, and I'm not just saying that because it's about Gaga this time. Katy, 1D, Bieber... name any artist I don't like and I'd still think it's a dumb rule. The people who are getting DWUW now because they preordered ARTPOP would have bought DWUW anyway because they're fans. Maybe it would have taken a few more days for those sales to all happen, but it still would have been within a charting week, no??

It just strikes me as very odd.
