RideRidePony 0
for me, Aura shouldn't be the next single, if at all. imagine the general public listening to their radios and all of a sudden that manic laughter starts and then you find out its gaga and then they turn over the station. i dont even like the laughter, i think it ruins the start of the song. s-x dreams all the way. Speakeasy 0
I love all these songs. And ARTPOP. I wonder if that song will be considered for a single
GagaSavedMe 12
In this case, Aura would be the Judas to ARTPOP, insofar as charting and how it's received. And I don't think we want a Judas 2.0 EDIT: At least as the second single anyway, as I'm fully aware it's probably the continuation to Telephone/Paparazzi. It can come later though, like as the fourth/last single (if she only has 4 this time around), when everyone is going to has already bought the album. i agree
Spanish Eyes 2,279
I just don't understand the point of MANiCURE.
skeletal-hooker 73
Poor Aura. T__T I still don't understand how Sex Dreams sounds single-worthy. It's good but not THAT catchy. D: this is exactly what i'm thinking..... idk, i love s-x dreams but i think it'll flop as a single. Swine would be perfect, honestly. without the slow intro, of course. Rollercoaster 2
Aura is nothing like Judas. It isn't blasphemous in any way and speaks about seeing a woman behind her public image, make-up and curtains. The biggest problem with fans choosing singles is they don't say what they like, they say what other people would think of the songs... why? You don't know what the reaction will be. Aura is very strong and so it mentions burqa... so? Big Whoop its for a few seconds. Getting offended on other people's behalf and ignoring potentially great hits for great songs... Little Monsters: Playing it safe and running away from good music since 2011.
Schwerk 7,243
I just don't understand the point of MANiCURE. It's catchy as hell and she belts it out with ease perfoming live, which is very important when she will do promo for the tune on tv shows and such. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
elijahfan 26,041
‘Aura’ should not be the next Lady Gaga single. "While it wouldn’t end Lady Gaga’s career, ‘Aura’ would send her further down a poorly-lit road. ‘Aura’ isn’t a bad song per se, but it doesn’t strike us as a signature Gaga single, which at this stage all Gaga singles should be. More importantly, although it’s ostensibly about various things, the song at its heart is another “I am a popstar generously offering my dedicated fanbase an insight into my persona†tune. As a single, it is not universally appealing, and it’s too much after ‘Applause’. Like a lot of the chat at the iTunes show it’s Gaga talking directly to a specific portion of the people who bought her first one-and-a-half albums." Aura IS a typical Gaga song, though... so I don't quite agree with that part of their article

000 0
Are they judging that demo? And s-x dreams is a typical Gaga single? Last time I checked, gaga didn't want to sell s-x. Gaga says a lot of things, at the end of the day she still more than often wore suggestive clothing and posed suggestively and sang s-xually suggestive lyrics. She sells s-x, but selling s-x doesn't and isn't going to define her like it does Rihanna or Britney. Thats all shes ever really tried to get across imo. Sex Dreams isn't even out of character. elijahfan 26,041
I can't quite agree with this overall article at all... They basically say that choosing Aura would be a decision motivated solely by the fans, who want to see the Telephone continuation happen. BUT, we have to keep in mind that the general punters, as Popjustice calls them, LOVED the Telephone video. So maybe tackling the Telephone story again would be precisely a way to trigger again the interest of the public, and of "the ‘Fame Monster’-era fans who are slowly starting to drift away", to quote the article.... I really see contradictions in their way of seeing things.
