I thought it hit #2 before the Super Bowl? It was definitely #2 by sometime Sunday night and was top ten (or maybe even top five) Friday/Saturday.

Yeah it was the last few hours on Sunday. I think she debuted at #12 or 13 that weekend on Hot 100? That would be impossible if she was at #11 for three days other than the last few hours.

So basically, if you just pre-order the album, and acquire the single that way, it's counted for the weekly Billboard Digital Chart, but isn't reflected in the iTunes Top Singles Chart?

Exactly :)

Klou, "GMALY" debuted #7 on the digital chart which is consistent with it being somewhere around #8 the first two days and then around #2 on Sunday night (which is how I think I remember it happening, but my memory of that is a bit fuzzy).

Yes, and remember that's only on 3 days worth of sales, so it had to average pretty high on iTunes for three days to average #7 across a 7 day period.

Once again, it's not confirmed that it will be bundled so let's hold off on comments like these for now.

That's what I was thinking. Her iTunes single strength won't be as large, and the whole thing might come out messier than we needed it to be.

I thought it debuted/peaked at #10

That was the following week when it had a full weeks worth of sales.

Ok. I need to calm down a little. It will be the first time I watch so close her chart performance. It seems that I am not ready.

Guys it doesn't really matter what you do if it does in fact end up with the bundle. Other stans may think she's underperforming because they're ignorant, but they'll be in for a surprise when Billboard releases their numbers

I don't completely remember the details involving Madonna, but every other time a major artist has released an album with a single bundled, their single performance on iTunes for most of the week ended up being consistent with its Digital Songs debut:

"Till the World Ends" - #10

"Die Young" - #3

"Mirrors" - #9

"Slow Down" - #36

"Take Back the Night" - #34 (consistent for its position considering it didn't have a whole week of sales)
