Cherry 17
Ariana is much more established thoughShe has a more established fanbase, yes, but Carly Rae had a much bigger hit than "The Way". Ariana is another case of pushing the album off until months after the big single peaks. She'll probably have a bigger first week than Carly just because of her social media following, but I do wonder how much she'll pull in the long run. (Carly, for the record, has sold about 250k.) Ozzy8923 9
Hm, I think Selena's predictions are solid #'s for her and her biggest debut week yet, so good for her! It's definitely her best album so far. I predict around 750K-800K as her final #'s when all is said and done. As for Bruno, I'm happy to see that he snatched another Top 5! I like seeing successful eras that are well coordinated and his is one of them. Taylor. The Red era was just so messy. It had the first 2 singles do well, but while IKYWT was smashing, Begin Again was flopping so I really don't know how to judge her era. In general, it was just bad. I like one single at a time. Rihanna should just finish the Diamonds Tour and then start recording a new album for the fall of 2014. Hopefully, she can release a lead single in July/August 2014 and then release her album in September/October 2014. I think that's a good strategy for her that will prove to have longevity. Or she can just milk the UA era for all it's got and release What Now or Lost In Paradise OR do a re-release. Either way would work I suppose. I'm convinced that at this point neither Beyonce or Rihanna will be releasing this year though. And Mariah hasn't spoken a word about her album nor released a follow up single so it's safe to say she won't be doing much right now either. So we have Gaga, Britney, and Katy as the main pop forces releasing in the fall. Excited! Then there's Ariana and Miley, we'll see how they fare. I know she sold fairly well with the last two albums, but that sounds a bit high to me + album sales get less and less every year.

I'm just taking a wild guess simply because this is her first big lead single [LYLALS was as successful as CAGI but it didn't really do much until after the album came out], her biggest debut, and her best era so far. Her last album had only 1 really successful single and it was LYLALS but this one will have at least 2 with Slow Down already impacting so I think that'll help her at least cross 700K. It's a decent song. And I'm really surprised that Burn is doing so well. Looks like people are responding well to it!
