28. Calvin Harris - I Need Your Love (feat. Ellie Goulding)

38.(+7) CALVIN HARRIS F/ELLIE GOULDING - I Need Your Love 45.467 (+3.520)

The song has been #28 for four days now... That's really sad. I have to admit I don't even like the song very much. I just wanted it to do well because of Ellie :fan:

Aww. Our girl is still holding on.

Where did it peak in the UK Charts if you don't mind? :)

Sure, because most songs normally get 3+ million updates everyday, and then in the matter of a day start getting 0.1 million updates. That doesn't happen of audience reception is strong and the radio is playing the song because people actually want to hear it. That only happens when the payola stops coming in. And in Treasure's case, it looks like it stopped coming in at around 80 million. Defend the song all you want, but it's so obvious payola was in play here.

The song might continue to grow, but from here on out, it's going to require strong audience reception. If people aren't here for it, it'll fall. I'm really not trying to bash this song, because it has grown on me somewhat (still don't like the outdated feel to it, though). I'm not even trying to be a negative Nancy here. I'm just stating the obvious. I'm sorry if you're a Bruno stan and don't like what you're hearing.

Or... a lot of programmers added the song in high rotation - which is common for new songs - and have decided to put it in a lower rotation? It's the #3 song for rhythmic formats on ratethemusic and top 20 on iTunes. If the song was struggling to sell and getting these types of updates, I could see your point about payola being used, but honestly, it just seems like you don't like the song very much and are trying to derail its success because you think it's "outdated".

Do you think Rihanna's "Right Now" will reach top ten ? As far as I am concerned, I think the song will be played by radio over and over again and it has a chance to be a summer banger but on the other hand the song will not last long on top ten and will not sell more than two million copies in the USA.

What do you think? How would you imagine the video to this song?

P.S. Did you know that it was planned by Rihanna's crew to release the vid to "Pour it up" or is it just a rumor ? :)

Thanks in advance and share your thoughts about this song, please :)

It's outside the top 200 on iTunes, which isn't very good for a song that's gotten a decent start on radio. The song honestly is not that catchy or fun, which is why I don't think people are buying it. I wouldn't be surprised if it missed the top 50 on the Hot 100 entirely. Edited by Cherry

I wonder how long Avril's label plans to keep her song at .69 cents. The sales week is over, but it's still discounted.

I think the general price for a single should just be 69 cents. I really think it's beneficial for a song and $1.29 is just too much money for ONE song. At least you get 2 with Oh La La! Just puttin' that out there again. :teehee:
