Klou 2,414
Working on her 8th album and she's just shy of 10 million? Rihanna is the queen of quantity. I'll be so happy if it is. I became a fan of theirs after they performed it on Ellen last fall... I didn't think it would even go up this high tbh. It's looking to at least be a top 10 hit :admin:
nick4bty 2,758
Macklemore is hot right now, but they can either go the route of Gaga or LMFAO if they don't start looking toward the future.

WarriorPrince 1
Same Love is #44 on iTunes with only 15M AI. It WILL be a hit. You do know we're talking about a indie rap song about lgbt rights in which its first lines are: "When I was in the 3rd grade I thought that I was gay" right? Mills 446
FUN FACT: Rihanna's album sales in the US now stand at 9.8M. MORE FUN FACTS: She still has yet to surpass Beyonce and Britney's US Totals (30M + for both, Beyonce's including DC). Gaga is close to matching hers with less than half the amount of albums released. Adele outsold her with one album. kwen of pop, who? Not to mention the 5:1 ratio of her digital sales vs. album sales. On the brighter note, one more album and she'd most surely hit the 10 million mark. It isn't that impressive, given that she has released 7 studio albums and perhaps more than 50 singles in an 8-year span. But nonetheless, she (along with a ton of collaborators) was able to sell 150 million records worldwide (120 million digital song sales while an estimated 30 million album sales) in a relatively short period of time. I completely agree that the striking difference of her ability to sell albums with her singles is incredibly insane. No wonder her label is going for that annual album release tradition, arguably not to really sell albums per se... but to extend that digital song sales even further. I'd not be surprised if Rihanna would someday outsell the worldwide record sales of the likes of Mariah Carey with her digital song sales alone. And once that happen, I guess the backlash and outcry would be unbelievable. Good for her, and not so good for those who value the importance of album sales. I mean, if we look at it in another way, we could say that's she's sold 15M albums since 2010, which is the usual time that an artist spends making a new album (3 yrs.). But either way, it's still a bit disappointing.
