She’s a bit old for be any of the roles now they’ve settled on a younger main cast. She’d even be too old for Dazzler amongst this cast. Adam only work’s because Sinister is hundreds of years old from Victorian England and is sustained by stolen DNA.

If the Hellfire Club are in this she could probably be Selene if she wears black hair

Christopher Abbott is 40, he and Gaga were born the same year.

I love X Men but I'm not nerdy enough to know everything so I'm asking: aren't Professor X and Mystique the same age? Didn't he met her when they were both children? I remember in some of the movies this particular scene, but I'm not sure.

So I just googled it lmao Mystique is over 100 years old but she ages slowly because of her powers. 

In one of the prequel they are portrayed as childhood foster siblings who grew up together, making them roughly the same age in that specific movie continuity.

So Gaga is not too old to play her, but I hope it's not the case because I couldn't stand the mcu fans complains and lashings.

Back on topic, the casting has been perfect so far.

Mystique having anything to do with Xavier is purely FoXmen fan fiction tbh. In the comic’s she’s from the same era as Mr Sinister. JLaw absolutely ruined all perception of Mystique because she’s essentially a ruthless selfish person. She’s Rogue’s adoptive mother and Nightcrawler’s birth parent, she’s also Creed’s mother with Sabertooth.
 

She’s also canonically now genderfluid or enby to a degree because she has a relationship with Destiny and essentially shapeshifted her genitals into a penis and got Destiny pregnant making her Nightcrawler’s “father” essentially. This is all why people fan casted Hunter Schaffer. 

She’s also a tertiary character entirely in the comics, which could work for Gaga’s time management but I think Gaga would suit Selene much more nowadays. It would also mean she could be part of the Hellfire Club.

Comic lore is very complex and long winded there’s loads of changes and retcons and timelines to take form haha. But yeah most of the Fox Films except maybe Logan and Days of Future Past aren’t that accurate to the source material.

For example now we know Mr Sinister is the main villain of this we can pinpoint what storyline they’re probably going with. Plus Emma being there also adds an extra layer of what the story could possibly be.
