I finally gave in and ended my anti-Madonna phase.

Confessions II is a nice album, like Chromatica; it's listenable, and time goes by very enjoyably.

I think it shouldn't be called 'Confessions II'; 'Danceteria' or 'Love Sensation' would have been cool titles. But hey, she's the artist, and she's the boss.

I don't think it will connect with me the way Confessions on a Dance Floor does. That album is just, um, perfection.

Returning to her previous label proved successful; I'm glad she put her full effort into making this album enjoyable!

I don't have any favorite tracks on the album, but I must say I like listening to "Bring Your Love" and "Danceteria" back-to-back! It reminds me of "Get Together" and "Sorry".

That's an interesting take but I don't get it tbh. I get that sonically it isn't really a follow-up to Confessions 1, but thematically the title fits perfectly. Every song is a confession or a nostalgic snapshot of her life, with the II acting as a time stamp. She's older and wiser, and this is a new iteration of the same idea of pairing dance music with confessions, filtered through where she is in life now. Honestly, I'd say 2 earns the title more than 1 did with how sincere it is at times.
