I think around the same because Gaga is a weird case study, her fans dont often buy her music anymore, her streams aren’t that great outside of her hits, and the GP only focus on her voice now so the only way she’d be able to do better is to drop an album full of songs like Shallow DWAS etc that are piano driven and showcase her vocals.

But I suspect she’s gonna make dance/disco music again next album (and I’m so excited for it) so I’m gonna go with around the same.

It has the potential to eclipse … take Mayhem’s momentum and magnitude, develop the approach to lyrical / storytelling depth or resonance — really dive into the songwriting pen game to balance the apex production progression — situate the soundtrek in a solid story world with narrative clarity and creative vision … and it seems only natural that this next project will evolve from its predecessor

It's extremely difficult to top headlining Copacabana and performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show all in one year

No doubt it will be bigger. I think she's just getting started. I hope they learned from the successes and misses from this era.

I think it has that potential but only if:

#1 They still promote it well

#2 If the follow up album is relatively quick. She cant let the recent career resurgence fizzle out. If she takes 3 years to release the follow up album any new hype shes gained will be dead tbh.

she needs to drop something this year to keep the momentum up

but unfortunately she's dropping this Devil Wears Prada song that sounds terrible but well see...

I have no expectations tbh

Mostly 'cause I don't understand why her hits are hits and why her deep cuts remain hidden gems despite them largely being better than the singles she relentlessly pushes :laughga:

since she's no more promo sensitive,

since she's old,

since she's just warming up,

since she's marry soon,

since she's not smashing in azerbaijan,

i'm worry

I shine more in the dark.

It has the potential to be bigger if she promotes it properly which she NEVER does and if she gives us the continuation of Telephone.

Hard tò top due to the addiction of dwas lol. If She has a similar success in the future, id be very surprised. Its a stunt She already pulled with shallow. Almost no One achieves these heights, even collaborating.

Besides dwas and a bit of abracadabra the album has very average streams. The only way for lg8 tò have a similar impact Is for the streams tò be more uniform or also the strategy of having a bunch of songs, thought that wont help in the long run. Or at least have 3 or 4 singles on abracadabra level.of success. Thats hard cmon.

On the other hand being High listed on Spotify clearly helps. If the project isn't some Total disaster, the drop can't be that bad. And Its not like She can't have not One but 3 (buy 20) collabs. How many collabs had Beyoncé in cowboy carter or last weeknd project.

It Also depends on the project finding its audience. Mayhem doesn't have the appeal of a theme that grabs the audience. It was successful because the songs are done well. But if they impact with the lyrics or some particular feat id Say its different.

Then there was the massive promo. Difficult to best Copacabana Netflix superbowl grammys.

Probably not tbh. But we literally never know with Gaga. She's an enigma and the public receive her in unexpected ways every time

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I don't know. I highly doubt it'll be bigger unless another DWAS situation comes in. MAYHEM will end the year with ±10M WW units so I think it's safe to say LG8 won't do that well

The Telephone continuation would do smaller numbers than Abracadabra. I wouldn't rely on that if I were her

I don't think she's going to pull DWAS numbers again any time soon but it's possible for LG8 singles to be bigger than Disease, Dead Dance or even out peak Abracadabra if we're lucky.

I don't think so but it's impossible to guess with her,

I thought TDD would have done better since usually when the fanbase doesn't love a song that's the one the GP loves but not this time. I hope she gets away from that sound she leans into with TDD, KFL and what we've heard of the Prada song.

With the Abracadabra Grammy's performance I thought the bridge sounded a bit Ozzy-esque and think she should go down that route for the next one, maybe fuse melodic gothic rock with dark pop if she doesn't want to go full rock
